Hi all, I just moved to my own apartment recently and have been saving this incredibly soft bamboo cotton yarn for a blanket for my new place. I decided to alter an older design of my own for a bag to make into large squares for the blanket. I had mostly white and a bit of pink yarn saved up for this project and so decided to use the pink to create relief stitches to outline the design on the squares after the squares were done. Let me know what you think. I have written up the pattern and am looking for testers for the pattern. Do check out the thread in the forum if you are keen to test the pattern for me. Thanks.
My daughter is two years old on Tuesday (it's hard to believe...) and today we had her birthday party. And I made her the dress. I strated with the skirt, adapting the pattern for... a pineapple doily at the beggining... Then I the rest of the pattern came straight from my heart. I added the flower brooch and the ribbon and the underskirt. I was afraid it's too short, but it turned out the length is perfect and my girl was comfortable, especially when sitting ot playing. The dress is made with tread (size 10 I guess) and the real colour is amarant.
This shawl is from Doris Chan's "Amazing Crochet Lace"...it's made using two strands of size 10 crochet cotton held together. I did this so that it would turn out smaller to fit my daughter - the original pattern calls for yarn... http://i233.photobucket.com/albums/ee239/hhensler_photo/100_0057.jpg
