I have started a throw using the Red Heart Ombre yarn. I have finished with the first skein and need to start with another skein. The skein I finished with ended in the light blue and the other skeins start with the dark blue. I'm undecided how to start with the next skein. Should I find the light blue in the new skein and start with it or should I just join the light blue with the dark on a new row? In my mind, it looks like it would be too much of a color change to start with the dark when I finished with the light. Has anyone used this yarn with large projects and if so, how did you join the new skeins in with the end of your last when they are opposite colors?
Hi all, I have just completed a new bag design with textured pineapple motifs. I used three different coloured yarn to create an ombre effect with black and greys. The handles are made of two layers of different coloured yarn and joined using slip stitches. The contrasting colours are shown on the top of the handles. What you do think?
Hi all, I ordered I Love This Yarn Iced Sugar Ombre in worsted weight. I am going to be making a baby blanket about 24X36. This is for my cousin to give to her grandchild to be. I was thinking of making a corner to corner or maybe a basket weave stitch. Since I have never made the basket weave pattern, I'm hoping someone can give me input on the thickness of the weave. Do you think it would be too thick/heavy for a baby blanket in worsted? Any suggestions for a pattern for a blanket, hat, booties, mittens using Ombre, would be super! It has to be relatively simple as I haven't made anything too complicated. Any and all suggestions will be very much appreciated. Thanks, Laraine
