  1. Here is a new batch of baby hats I crocheted for my local hospital nursery. Mostly ribbed-band and double-post hats. Ribbed-band hat pattern found here with the option for the double-post here. Top photo has a rolled brim option for a different look on the top right hat.
  2. Here are some new hats I crocheted. I call them double post baby hats. It is just the basic baby hat but with a double post for the ribbing. Here is a free pattern link if anyone wants to crochet the hat pattern. These went to my local hospital's nursery last week along with a few other hats I crocheted.
  3. Hi Everyone I created this pattern for a friend of mine. https://www.creationsbycandy.co.za/single-post/2017/07/06/Angel-Wing-Crochet-Baby-Boots-1
  4. Here is a batch of baby hats I crocheted for my local hospital nursery. It's fun to mix and match some patterns and yarns to create hats for the newborns. The scalloped edged hat is a new pattern found here.
  5. Here is a new baby hat pattern to share with everyone here at Crochetville. Please share and use this pattern for personal and charity work that you may do. Feel free to sell the hats too for fundraisers etc. Here is the link to the scalloped baby hat pattern as shown below. Very easy and works up fast.
  6. I found a local photographer who wants to work with me for photo props. She requested this outfit, and it was so much fun to make! I purchased the pattern from Crystal and Taylor Etsy shop! https://www.etsy.com/listing/202977864/newborn-crochet-pants-pattern-suspenders
  7. When I found out the husband's nephew's fiancée was expecting, I told her when I found out what sex they were having that I wanted to make a baby blanket for her. I love making blankets for others and turning pretty yarn into something gorgeous. I decided to go for a sunburst granny square pattern and followed Sarah-Jayne's (Bella Coco) Pom Pom Edging tutorial on YouTube for the border. I also made it in her favourite shade of purple too! At the end I still had one ball of purple and one ball of beige left, so I decided to try Valerie's First Birthday Crochet Dress pattern a go and I think it turned out fab! Which is even more a bonus that that the Nephew's Bride to Be loves it too! I'd love to know what you all think!
  8. I was asked to make baby blanket for a friend, for her friend who was expecting a baby, however she and the expectant mother didn’t know what she was having! She wanted to leave it as a surprise! I used variegated yarn, in brown tones. Once completed the corner to corner stitch, I stuck a shell edging border on!
  9. I tried a new ribbed baby hat pattern from Beverly Qualheim. I chained just 30 sts to start to get a newborn sized hat. My hats came out 6.5 inches long flat by 10” cir. Here is the link to the free baby hat pattern. It was a fun pattern that is worked side to side and gathered at the top. .
  10. Here are some rolled brim baby hats I have been crocheting for 2017. These are going to my local hospital baby nursery for the newborns. Free pattern is found here that I used to crochet them.
  11. Pattern Information Pattern Description: Newborn sized dress done in snowflake motifs, and crochet thread (but don't let that scare you away! The stitching is simple, with sc, hdc, dc, htrc, and maybe a few trc). The dress was originally designed with Disney's Queen Elsa in mind (from the movie Frozen). Pattern Style (written, symbol chart, etc.): Written pattern, with lots of pictures. Pattern Photo (optional): Can be seen on my facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/FamilyBugs/photos/a.165008696925751.38068.149171735176114/619073261519290/?type=1&theater) Skill Level: Not quite beginner, but not intermediate either. Uses basic crochet stitches, but with a tiny hook and thread...let's go with easy. Yarn/Material/Tools Required (specify which will supplied by designer and which by tester): I will provide the pattern (of course), and the tester must supply crochet thread size 10 (in two colors, I have done mine in blue and white), crochet hook size 0, satin ribbon is optional, and seed beads are optional. Tester Information Number of Testers Needed: 2 Approximate Time Required to Complete Project: 1 month Deadline: May 10th Tester Experience (do you want testers to have prior experience, submit references, etc.): No previous testing experience is needed. Tester Responsibilities (what exactly do you want testers to do and what information do you want them to supply to you): Double check my counting. Make sure I use the same abbreviations throughout the pattern. Make sure that we are getting the same finished measurements. So that it will fit a newborn, and not a 6-mo-old. All of the steps and instructions make sense and can be followed. Any other opinions about the pattern itself (maybe you have an idea that might work better than what I have written out). Any Special Software Requirements (Microsoft Word, pdf reader, etc.): Able to download and read pdfs. Compensation Please specify what compensation you are offering to pattern testers (none, free copy of final pattern, monetary fee, etc.). Free copy of final pattern, and first opportunity to test any future dresses that I will design.
  12. A client asked me to create a poncho and diaper cover with the child's name on the backside.
  13. A good work-friend of mine has been keeping mum on something... He and I haven't worked together for a while, so we just recently got caught up, and I discovered that he's going to be a Daddy soon! They are having a shower for his wife and him at work, but it's very soon, so there wasn't enough time to crochet a blanket. Instead, I decided to go with a tiny hat! It took such a short amount of time, I might try some baby booties or baby mittens next.
