    Hi From Miami

Hi Everybody! My name is Adriana Laura Mendez. I am a jewelry designer that has always been passionate about the world of fashion and jewelry. In 2005, I discovered wire crochet jewelry and started to design jewelry as a hobby until i perfected it. Three years later, along with my son Julian, I decided to launch my own jewelry company of wire crochet jewelry. I made hundreds of unique jewelry pieces. But the road has not been easy. As a self-taught I had to learn by trial and error to finally being able to learn and achieve wonderful results. Today, after 9 years of expercience in the field of handmade jewelry I want to teach all the secrets so people can make their own handmade jewelry from home. Alongside with my son, we have created a series of ebook and video tutorials that will help people learn wire crochet jewelry.

    Crocheted Beaded Necklace

While I was at the Knit & Crochet Show in Charlotte the beginning of this month, i visited the booth with tons of beads, and how beautiful they were!! I one kit to make a simple chain necklace with beads added. That was so much fun, that I went back and bought a kit for the Modified Mobius crocheted beaded necklace. This was fun also, however, I modified the last round because I didn't like how it was working. I love how it turned out and plan on making more.

    Sea Urchin Cocktail Ring

I crocheted this awhile ago and I thought I'd share. I love the way it looks, very chunky because of the beads but I know that it I used a smaller bead it would give a total different effect. It reminds me of a sea urchin, hence the name. I feel like the pictures don't do the ring's sparkle justice. If you want to read the back story of it, its on my blog http://hookabledesigns.blogspot.com/2011/05/reinvent.html
