  1. I'm crocheting sleeves on a sweater in the round. I guess i lucked out and haven't done much round work. I didn't notice til i was half way down the sleeve but my stitch marker appeared to be moving backwards around the round. I kept putting it in my first stitch everytime so i thought it was normal. But as I watched some videos i saw that others stitch markers didn't travel around their rounds. How do I keep this from happening?
  2. I saw this pattern and I knew this would be perfect or my favorite "Rosie"! I went to Michael's yesterday and got a couple skeins of the new Caron Cakes yarn. This particular color is Cherry Chip. She has been asking since yesterday if her "coat" was done, so she was absolutely delighted when I told her today that it was. It's so easy to do! I did have a problem with part of the pattern, but after ripping row 9 apart the 3rd time I finally figured it out.. The instructions weren't exactly easy to understand in that particular part, mainly because it's worded a little differently than I'm used to. Oh, and I guess I should mention that the pattern came from The Lavender Chair. And there's also a matching Adult version, so I plan to make another one for myself so we can have a 'Mommy and Me Matching Set!'
  3. This is a link to instructions on how I crocheted a Pendleton Selvage Rug with Pom Poms. It was so much fun, and I love how it turned out. If you know how to crochet in the round, you can do this! It's also nice to make an Eco-friendly project. Enjoy! http://www.mamainastitch.com/?p=168
  4. The latest addition to my range of patterns - a really easy-to-make toddler or baby wash mitt. I hope it finds its way to a new parent somewhere and brings them some joy! 5. I am crocheting a motif wrap with some fingering yarn my mom gave me. It's all different "sizes" and 'textures", but it works for a motif collage that I'm doing. My question is: I am to crochet a chain of 4 and place 19 DC into the fourth chain and then join. When I am finished with that part, I always work my hook into the wrong side of the piece and do a chain one with the tail to secure everything. I pull tightly and I end up tearing the work apart from the inside out. This has NEVER happened before and I always start the weaving process in this manner to help secure ends. It doesn't come apart from the tail, but rather from somewhere else and completely unworks itself. What am I doing wrong and what could I do to reinforce the motifs I have already made so that doesn't happen again??? Any answers would be exceptionally helpful, as I only have until the end of the month to finish for a birthday present. Thanks.
