  1. Just stopping by to say Hello. I just signed up today and am excited to see what this village has to offer. I have been crocheting for almost two years and enjoy it. I like trying new stitches and making a variety of items, I am not a fan of counting stitches or using black yarn. I consider myself to still be a intermediate beginner and would love to learn and try new things. I am from the Steel City (Pittsburgh, PA) and I crochet as a hobby.
  2. Sup, y’all? My name is Callie and I’ve been crocheting for about five years. My aunt taught me after I learned to knit, and... I’ve pretty much given up knitting 😂 I’m from the panhandle of Florida, but have lived in Iowa for the last almost ten years. I’m a pharmacy technician at a hospital and I’ve picked up my crochet hook a lot more recently to help combat stress from the COVID-19 pandemic after work and to also try to craft things to help myself and my fellow healthcare workers.
  3. hi everyone my name is Toni Marie, I’m a self taught from YouTube hooker. joined here because lockdown has gave me the chance to crochet more and wanna meet like minded people.
  4. Hello, my name is Erica, but you can call me Mickey if you'd like. Crocheting is one of my favorite hobbies and whenever I crochet, I either use a pattern or try to make my own pattern(s) by myself. Crocheting was running in my mom's side of my family since my Mom crochets and my Grandma and my Aunt Ruth used to crochet. My favorite things to crochet are doilies, doll clothes, and granny squares. I also love to crochet edgings on doll clothes as well to make them look pretty. I've crocheted doll clothes for Barbie dolls, Bratz dolls, La Dee Da dolls, 11-inch Sunny Day dolls, Monster High dolls
  5. Hello I just signed up I been trying to find some good friends that crochet, talk crochet, as a single parent I do the best I can to crochet I signed myself up at a crochet group in my local church but no one still hasn’t set up a meet up place. Sigh I used to sell my crochet projects in 2008-2016 I stopped for an odd reason something was missing I haven’t figured out what yet but now I crochet once in a blue moon I learned how in High School class of 03 so I finally finished my first hardest hello kitty hat pattern a few weeks ago it felt like the pattern was way advanced for me since I am sti
  6. Hi all! I’m new to the group, and consider myself a beginner (self taught). Even though I have worked on projects over a few years, I make lots of mistakes. I’m hoping to gain insights from all of you and looking forward to improving skills to make many beautiful things. So far, I have made a few hats, a baby caccoon, granny square bedspread for my king size bed, a shawl for Mom, a couple of baby blankets using bulky soft yarn and the basket weave (so thick and comfy), and a throw for the sofa. I’m currently working on a chevron bedspread using 3 colors for a toddler / twin bed, and h
  7. Hello! I am so glad to join such a fun community here at Crochetville. I am currently still a Junior in high school, but I really enjoy crocheting! I am not that good at it yet, and can't do a whole lot more than a plain blanket or scarf, but I am excited to learn! Thank you all for being such a positive group of people, and thank you for stopping by to say hi.

  9. Hello my name is Heather and I have joined to get help and learn new things about crocheting because I am trying to make my grandmother a granny square blanket for Christmas. 12. Hi everyone! I'm Tanya and I'm from Texas. I'm new to crochet by a few months. So far I've made two baby blankets, a pair of baby booties and a newborn cap. I started learning to crochet when I was young but I don't think I made more than a few chains and some potholders. I picked it up as a "new" hobby earlier this year when I found out that not only my fiance's son and my own son were both expecting our first grandbabies but that I am pregnant as well! I immediately thought of the blankets that had been made for me and how special they were and set off to learn how to crochet. Now, I'm h

Hi to all ladies and gentlemen I started crocheting nearly 2 years ago and haven't looked back since, I was a knitter before but fell in love with crocheting. I'm just starting to make my own patterns, I have just finished a babies blanket with hearts and name on it, all from my little brain lol. I have looked on here a few times and tonight I decided to sign up. I look forward to seeing new things and trying crazy ideas. I have attached a photo of my first time of writing and creating my own pattern.
  15. Greetings! I'm an old dragon gone to roost. My mind and hands are about all that still function. I have been crocheting since est. age 10, but never had any guidance. What I thought was a single crochet for 3 decades, I have learned is really a slip stitch. All Blessing to the Internet!!! lol For the last year I have made a determined effort to learn to crochet so I could make the things I couldn't afford. Like the beautiful shawl in all the right colors...sells at the craft shows for $250...out of my reach!! But $25 for yarn and a month of time...and I run around like a peacock with
  16. Hello all! I've been trying to find a group to socialize with for a while now where I can crochet on my own time clock (not everyone else's). My grandmother taught me how to crochet when I was 5 and I've been crocheting off and on ever since. I love to crochet doilies, scarves, shawls and toys. I'm a railroaders wife and live in eastern Oregon. I look forward to having fun discussing crochet, yarn, life and other fun stuff!

  24. Hello Everyone! I am a beginner-ish crocheter from Arkansas. I have been crocheting for a while using basic stitches and want to learn more. I mainly crochet beanies, cozies, baby blankets, cowls. I love playing with different fibers and textures. Acrylic and super wash wool are my go to yarns. I just recently started my first joining project. I'm thrilled with the way it is coming together considering I have mostly been winging it. I am so happy I found this website. I look forward to learning from and sharing with you all. Happy hooking!!! Yours truly, Amber
