  1. I made a little heart so I could add it to any of my amigurumi and make the perfect gift for Saint Valentine’s Day. It can be used also for bags or key chains, I’m sure you will find a way to use it! Free Pattern at this link
  2. So, I'm a member of a crochet graph group on facebook and this was a free graph. The graph was only 30 squares by 30 squares, so I figured it would be a good one to try out. I am absolutely in LOVE with the final outcome! I ended up choosing to do a Picot Edging to finish it off (a first for me) and I love how it turned out!! It's a bit small though.. Only 26x26 inches, but it would make a great carseat afghan, or even a lovey for a toddler/older child!

  5. First, I want to thank you for the amazing response I had from this Forum with my Zebra Blanket Crochet Chart pattern. I am so thankful you all loved the design so much. About a month ago, I released a new pattern into the PKC Shop. Knowing that Valentine's Day is coming up, I had to design something with that theme! Cute hearts felt perfect for this project. The Valentine Hearts Dishcloth Pattern is used with 100% cotton, in any colors you choose. I used a dark red and cream color for the photos shown in this post. There are also WRITTEN Instructions and a Crochet CHART! Therefore, you do not need to know how to crochet from a chart to complete this pattern. You can follow the Written Instructions if you prefer! There are 13 layed out pages with this pattern. Also, there is a Table of Contents that can help you find where you need to be in the pattern! Border Instructions are also included with this download. I love the border on this dishcloth because it makes this item have a vintage style (when worked in the cream main color). 9 images are placed within the pattern to help you guide you along. There is also a main section about How to Change Colors for reference for newbies. You are expected to know how to do the following when purchasing this pattern: Chain, Single Crochet, Half Double Crochet, Double Crochet, Slip Stitch. You should also be familiar with the Tapestry Crochet technique. The Quick Guide can help you along if you get stuck & I am also available during weekdays to help you out! Pictures will be attached below for your viewing pleasure. Please stop by to check out the Valentine Hearts Dishcloth Pattern in the PKC Shop! Who will you make this for on Valentine's Day? ;D Click here to visit the Valentine Hearts Dishcloth Pattern!
  6. Okay, so, I have a project in mind but I'm unsure how to complete a bit of it. I'm a bit of a novice. I want to make a heart, using granny squares, that is about 2 squares high by 2 squares wide. I understand how to make the bottom half with 2 squares of a two colored diagonal, black and red. The top half is where I'm stuck. How would I make the curved top half using 2 colors? Please help <3 Thank you <3
  7. I have designed this pocket prayer cloth to be crocheted and distributed through my charity in memory of my baby grandaughter who we lost Christmas, 2012, to cancer. Feel free to use and share this pattern. http://hendersonmemories.blogspot.com/2014/01/pocket-prayer-cloth-heart-prayer-shawl.html

  9. These are my crochet patterns with the African Flower! What I love most about them is that you can make a few flowers without needing to look at the pattern all the time. They are so easy and fund to make and after you have done a few you put them together and create magic! 10. I love to use fabric yarn - made from recycled fabric (all different kinds): http://www.lebenslustiger.com/serendipity/archives/335-8-Fabric-Yarn-DIYS.html have fun, Anette
  11. This was a lot of fun to put together, improvising from several web sources. The wonderful heart pattern is April Moreland's Purple Passion Heart Square (on Ravelry), the kitty motif assembled from two or three web patterns, and the heartlike border from a web pattern. The afghan probably will go to a charity aucction later this year. One thing I'm not happy about is that the eyes and nose are too large, despite the fact that I used a smaller hook for them. Didn't want to buy entire skeins of finer yarn. I may need to fix that before the auction. Ideas, anybody?
  12. I recently made a crochet wallpaper with my 'too cute' crochet heart photo that I would like to share with you. You are welcome to share this wallpaper and use it on your social networking sites. Please provide a link to this thread or to my blog crochetcricket.wordpress.com. Enjoy!
  13. I made this for my 7 year old granddaughter. It was supposed to be a throw, 3 squares across and 5 squares down. I was afraid it would be too small, so I added 6 rows of border to each square, and now it is bedspread size. Oh well! As least she won't outgrow it I used this for the basic heart: http://crochet.about.com/od/motifs/ss/Crochet_Heart_Chart.htm The rest of it I made up myself.
  14. Hello everyone, I recently found a tutorial for crochet hearts that I really like called its by Hectanooga1 on Youtube. The pattern really is really easy and produces a nice heart. I took the pattern a little further and made something a little different. I used this pattern to makes these hearts I call "Too Cute Crochet Hearts"
  15. Languishing between afghans, unable to decide what to start on, I've been thinking pink and hearts the past week or so. The set of four pink placemats is done in the same pattern I've posted before. I've lost count of how many I've made, for myself and for a charity auction, in ecru, green, yellow, white, and now soft rose -- more than two dozen, I guess -- the pattern is addictive. The two heart doilies also were crocheted in worsted cotton. The red heart is a pattern I copied from a photo and is just the right size as a coaster for a pitcher of ice water, the pink one good for a vase of flowers. Then there are the tiny pink, red, and white hearts scattered around the house. I love Valentine's -- maybe because 51 years ago this Thursday was the fateful day I met my husband.

  18. Hello, everyone, I just wanted to share a link to the little heart I crocheted this morning. It's got a small loop on the back so that you can stick it on a bobby pin or barrette for a quick festive boost. Check it out here!
  19. Here is a cable hearts 12" square I crocheted in a Valentine's CAL. It was pretty easy and you just have to watch your stitch count to get the pattern to come out right.
  20. I've just released the pattern for my baby peacoat: It's something a little different for boys. You can find the pattern here, I hope you like it! (Well, darn it, I don't know why the picture isn't working.)
  21. Hello All, Here's a lil something I worked up yesterday!!! I'll be selling it in my Etsy Shop. What do ya'll think?
  22. This pattern is available for sale in my Etsy shop or for automatic download in my Ravelry shop just in time to get ready for valentines day. It can be made smaller or larger just by changing your hook size and works up super quick. Just imagine this cute hat on any little girl you know.
