Hello I've just started doing crochet, and I'm making a stuffed animal for my child. Unfortunately I'm stuck trying to make the legs, as I can't figure out how to do this correctly to make enough stitches. Initially I make a magic ring with 6 sc and join that. Then I do 2 sc in each st anf have a total of 12 stitches. Here comes my problem: 2 dc in first 3 sts (got that covered), 2 hdc in next 2 sts (unsure if I'm meant to "stack" them?), 2 sc in next 5 sts (got that covered), 2 hdc in last 2 sts and join. Then continuing the pattern from there by chaining 3 turning my work and HDCing into the second stitch etc... I get big holes in my project. Which looks nothing like the pink triangles from the pattern.
I'm a complete beginner and I'm working on a bikini knitting project with crocheted edges. I've come to a point where I don't understand the instructions so really hope someone can help! After knitting a cup, I did one row of half double crochet all around it - imagine a knitted triangle with a row of hdc at the bottom and sides. I fastened off and am now at this point: Join yarn with sl st to ch-3 space at bottom right hand corner of first cup, then (ch 3, hdc) in same space Should there already be a ch-3 space in my crocheted row? It was just a normal half double crochet
