    graphghan help

hello everyone, I am starting a grahghan and need some help. I have found out how to make a swatch and figure out my guage but i am having problems with the picture i want to use. i have tried to use knitpro but no matter what i do the picture is very blurry. so then i tried stitch fiddle and the picture seems to big and very pix-elated. below is the picture that i would like to use. The throw measurements are 48x48. using my swatch 4sts= 1in. i figured i need 192 boxes to gain the width that i would like.So on top of all that i could also use some advise on how to figure out the height and how to make sure everything is centered. also if anyone one has any suggestions on how to change the font i would greatly appreciate it. thank you so much!
  3. I am attempting to make my first graphghan, using SC. The pattern is only 2 colors. Part of the emblem calls for a row with 1sc of one color followed by 1 sc of another (alternating a few times during the row). I feel like the stitches look messy with both colors visible when I alternate the 1 sc chains. The other part of the emblem, with longer rows of solid color, looks fine. Does anyone have advice for this issue? Should I use separate bobbins for the alternating sc's (which would get cumbersome)? Or should I plan to go back afterward with the same color yarn and try to mute out the bleed-through color? The project is a special gift for my son, who is entering the Marines, so I am in a crunch with time too. Any advice would be welcomed.
  4. Here is a cute little guy that I made as a test crochet. I love the c2c graphs, they go so much faster. Pattern is available at c2cgraphs.com
