Hello I have been working on a cute little deer project recently! I’m working on the body and on the decrease I’m noticing the stitches keep sticking out making the decrease very visible. In the photo I have done the traditional decrease, but I have tried the invisible decrease and they both result with a bump at the decrease! If anyone could give me advice or tips on how to fix this or what I’m doing wrong I would really appreciate it!! thanks, Kennady
I’ve been trying to make a baby pixie bonnet using tutorials from YouTube and a pattern I bought. I’ve finally managed to make it quite cute but it kind of rides up the back of my baby’s head once it’s tied. The pattern is essentially a rectangle of dcs folded in half and slip stitched together. Super simple. I was thinking that it might hug the base of her skull better if it gently sloped upwards. I’m thinking that adding some decreases to make the rectangle more narrow at the end might do it but not sure. Any advice?
Hi, me again! After people were so helpful yesterday on my increased I thought I’d ask about decreases today. pattern reads: *dec, 3dc, repeat from * to end (24sts) so I know I’m decreasing from 30stitches to 24, so a decrease of 6. However, I seem to be decreasing much more rapidly... I have read the pattern as: decrease to start, then 3 stitches, followed by another decrease. But this then decreases the round by 10 and not 6.... what am I doing wrong? Am I doing my actual decrease stitch wrong, or am I doing the decrease too soon? see picture for pattern, I’m on ro
