  1. Right I found this tutorial: http://tillietulip.blogspot.co.uk/2012/07/pink-shasta-daisy-blanket-is-finished.html To which I have been out and bought some wool with my birthday money today! Well I'm itching to start! See photo below: I am going to be using the white for the petals and then the do the middles of the daisy's alternative colours: so like half in the purple and half in the pink then do the rounds the opposite colour to what the middle is. So for e.g. First Square: purple middle, white petals, pink rounds (2 rows) Second Square: pink middle, white petals, purple rounds (2 rows) Third Square: purple middle, white petals, pink rounds (2 rows) Fourth Square: pink middle, white petals, purple rounds (2 rows) and so on.. Would that look alright? So when I put them together, ie sewed together it would be like pink, purple, pink purple in rows Does this make sense to you? It makes sense to me in my head! Also how many rows across and down would you suggest to make for an afghan for a single bed. This will be my first ever attempt at something like this! Nikki
  2. So I started crocheting a few months ago...made a few scarves, nothing too crazy just a bunch of sc and dc. Now I have decided I should work my way up to throws/afghans. I found this beautiful pattern on redheart that is labeled as beginner...it doesn't seem very beginner friendly but I do not want to back down from the challenge. Can anyone help me understand the directions in plainer English? Would really appreciate it. Also, I've been attempting the crossed dc...and I think I may be doing the wrong, so an tips would be fantastic! Link to pattern: http://www.redheart.com/files/patterns/pdf/WR2049.pdf Thanks in advance for all the help! - Jess
  3. I would like to share with C-Ville my new Tutorials Page that provides the basics you’ll need to know before you begin to crochet and follow patterns, including how-to videos and a chart of crochet abbreviations. Have fun! Peace, Love and Happy Crafting!
