HELP adjusting patterns to fit different chest sizes for toddlers
Alex dean posted a question in Crochet Help
Hi everyone! I've been learning how to crochet whilst on maternity leave and am now crocheting clothes for a few of my friends/family and making a little bit of extra money! I'm completely self taught from you tube tutorials and I have made a dress for my daughter who is 2. I have now had an order for the same dress but for a larger size. How do I adapt the pattern to fit the new size? So for example if I chain 52 to begin for an age 2 how do I work out how many chains to start with for an age 4 for example? Sorry if it's confusing I think I'm also confusing myself 🙈 -

I have been a fan and follower of this site on my mobile for the last year and enjoy the photographs of every one's work. I read a "how to crochet" book as a young teen and have been hooked ever since. My only crochet friend recently passed and I am anxious to connect to other people interested in crochet. I hope to learn and find answers to broaden my knowledge. I am the grandmother of 5 so have lately been working on items for them. I began crocheting exclusively with thread but have recently began creating more items in yarn. I have crocheted several blankets and wraps or shawls and now would like to learn to crochet sweaters, jackets, and other clothing items. So happy to be part of the forum.

These are some sewing projects I finished this week. A Hello Kitty sundress, hat and shorts for my granddaughter. A shirt and pants for my grandson, he loves to play with balls so this fabric was perfect. And a teddy bear for a friend. The bear is made from a suit of a family member who died last year.

From my staied glass afghan pattern, I have been designing a few other projects, this top is one of many other things I have designed. My daughters really liked them. They would be great with jeans, or leggins, with or without a under shirt. I have many ideas for different designs on the bottoms and straps, but this is the first I have ready with a pattern available, the rest are awaiting the writings . Pattern available at : http://www.sonsuray.com/afitem1.asp?id=140
