  1. Hello- I am having trouble following this pattern. I am intermediate level, I have made other advanced pieces, but I am stumped on this part of the pattern. Is there any way to explain this a different way or anyone who knows what this stitch is called? Rnd 10 is where this trim starts: Ch1, sc in same st, ch3 sk 2 st, sc in 3rd st, TURN, 3 sc in ch 3 sp.,sl st in beg sc. TURN (pushing “cable” to back), sc in next 2 sc, ch 3, sk worked sc and unworked sc, sc in next sc, TURN , 3 sc in ch3 sp, sl st in next sc, TURN, sc in both worked and unworked sts, rep from and around
  2. Hello everybody! I am a relatively new crocheter, been at it just a few years now. I am working on my first sweater and I am needing help understanding the sleeve workings. http://www.redheart.com/free-patterns/crochet-cable-cardi I get up to row 5, just after the increase row. Am I increasing every row now? Or am I only increasing every time I'm repeating the 4th row? TIA
  3. I am working on a beanie for my wife and the pattern has a special note for "cable" which reads: Skip next 2 sts, work FPdc around nest st, working in fron of FPdc just made, work FPdc around second skipped st, working in front of last FPdc made, work FPdc around first skipped st. I know how to complete the FPdc I'm just getting lost with the "working in front of" part. If you could please help me that would be great thanks.
  4. I have been crocheting for a few years now, but haven't tried any patterns that were too difficult. I usually crochet amigurumi and just recently, graphgans. Since it's getting cold, I've decided to start crocheting hats and found a cute pattern that I'm excited for. I started and then was stumped. "ch 2 and fpdc around same st, fpdc around next dc, dc in each of the 2 sts just worked in behind the fpdc sts..." So I figured out the front-post double crochet easily enough. I pick up on new stitches rather quickly, but its the double crochet in each of the 2 sts just worked in behind the fpdc

  7. I made these fingerless mitts in a CAL run by CrochetKim on Yahoo Groups. The first set ended up a bit small for the intended recipient (they're snug on my tiny hands), so I made another pair in the same yarn using a bigger hook. The recipient loved them.
