  5. Hello all, New to this forum so a short introduction. I'm from the Netherlands, but I currently live in Iceland because of work. I love to crochet and have been doing this as a hobby for several years now. Family and friends have been asking me about the dolls I crochet, and I've soled a couple as baby shower presents. And now I started getting emails about the patterns of them. Any tips for me about pattern writing or about what would be cool to have as a pattern in a etsy store? I plan to create some new original dolls, so any kind of comment is welcome. thanks, Linda
  6. Hi everyone! My name is Jenn and I am new to crochet and decided to start a blog. I have been crocheting off and on for the past year and realized that I don't have pictures of many of the projects I have completed, and since I gave most of them as gifts, I can no longer get pictures. This made me kind of sad so now I am determined to take photos of all my projects and thought it would be a good idea to create a blog to host these pictures and a good way to meet other crocheters out there. http://discovercrochet.blogspot.com/
  7. The other day I realized I hadn't crocheted a single scarf since last year! This was obviously much too long ago, so I decided to do something about it, and got my crochet hook out. 9. Hi there fellow crocheters! My name is Shelly and I've been crocheting for 2 years. I used to be a quilter and quilt designer for about 5 years but a change in life and such caused me to change hobbies. I love crochet more than quilting because whipping up an afghan takes a fraction of the time and materials. Plus, if I make a mistake, I can just unravel it and do it over! No materials lost! (99% of the time) I started a blog in 2011 to post photos of things I make, sort of an online public diary to watch how I grow with crochet. I post a lot of photos of my projects mainly because I, myself, love to look at photos of crochet. I mostly love to make afghan throws, a.k.a Lapghans. And my utmost favorite yarn currently is Bernat Satin. I used to love Caron Simply Soft but I have found that you pretty much get what you pay for. Thin, easily unraveled skein of yarn that almost always has a giant knotted mess inside. My blog is http://missedstitches.blogspot.com. I don't sell anything on it, so it's not advertising. I chose the name Missed Stitches because that's pretty much me in crochet! I always miss a stitch or three somewhere along the way. =) Currently, I'm making afghans for Xmas presents. Thought I'd get a headstart so that I'm not rushing at the last minute and making too many mistakes! Please share your photos/blogs with me! I love to browse crochet by others!

  11. Hello everyone I am just getting started here in the Crochetville forum community and I am really enjoying myself. There are so many wonderful topics to read I didn't know where to start. So I've decided to share my blog with you guys. My blog is about my passion (obsession <.< >.>) crochet. I love finding new patterns and advancing my skill. And I really love the crochet community, the most helpful and encouraging people. Rather lightheartedly, I began to jot down some of my thoughts in a blog one day. Not thinking it was a big deal. But then something strange happened. I couldn't stop. I enjoy crochet so much that it seems I eat, sleep and breath it. Now I blog it too. Yes mom...blog. LOL trying to explain to my unplugged mother what it is I am doing in my spare time always gives me a good laugh. "So honey, how is the blob going" hehe. If any of you guys would like to see my crochet ramblings you can visit me at crochetcricket. I would really appreciate your comments and feedback on my projects. Good luck to all of you with your blogs as well. Happy Crocheting! Cricket
