  1. Hi Crochetville! I'm doing a crochet-related project for my senior year of high school and I could definitely use some help as I'm starting to run out of time. I'm looking for individuals to send me newly or recently crocheted blankets. These blankets will be donated to my local crisis nursery which functions as a safe haven for children in rough situations. The kids there range in age from birth to 12 years old, so baby blankets as well as child sized blankets would be much appreciated! I have more information on the project in a google doc here. My goal is to have at least 10 blankets by the deadline, which is the end of March. As of posting this, I have 3. Thank you in advance for any and all support! Feel free to contact me here or via email: kittncakes@gmail.com -Elise
  2. Thank you very much, Darski, for allowing me to be part of Crochetville. I like the name and the way the site is set up. I am a by-the-book gal and appreciate the order and structure plus the effort which has gone into your site. I am happy to meet everyone and the other members who are presently joining. I apologize but my uploads failed because they are too large with the full pattern.

I have eight grandchildren that are pitter-pattering into their teens and have less to do with Nana than before so I have even more time on my hands... !!! I look forward to access to great free patterns from this great group.

  6. I just bought this new book and wanted to tell about it. It's called Crochet 24 hour Baby afghans by our own Jean Leinhauser and Rita Weiss. The patterns are so cute. I'm going to start on the purple one on the back cover. It looks to be a fast one and I will be making it in a lovely green, with a brown and green varigated yarn for a trim. The patterns are up to date and very nice. Check it out!

You can get a good idea of the size of the dolls and learn how this all began on the website. http://mollysbabies.org/ One does not have to send a bunch of things. 10. Hi, everyone! During March 2013, please help us make blankets for Project Night Night. To celebrate National Crochet Month, we are doing A Tour Through Crochet Country, which visits the blogs of one or two crochet designers each day. These designers selected Project Night Night as their charity for the blog tour. You can read more about the blog tour and Project Night Night here on Crochetville's blog post: http://crochetville.com/a-tour-through-crochet-country-natcromo-blog-tour/ I know this is short notice (sorry I did not post it here earlier!) but we would love to have our members donate crocheted blankets to Project Night Night. (Note that all blankets donated must be new or newly handmade. Ideal size is 50 x 60" or smaller. Check their item donation guidelines.) If you donate a blanket, will you please help us keep a tally of donations by using this form to tell us about your donation? Thank you!
