  5. Hi all! Just found this site on the interwebs and was wondering if anyone had any cool gift ideas for my mom? I know she loves to crochet and is pretty good at it. Has made everything from coasters, scarfs, gloves, mittens, bowls. I was thinking about a yarn-ball winder but don't know how useful that will be to her. Or any suggestions on some quality yarn? Something I could order online and ship to her. Anything helps! Her birthday is coming up. Thank you all!!
  6. Using one of the inimitable Norma Lynn Hood's free patterns and some vintage brown yarn I have in my stash, I made an amigurumi cake for my neighbor who just turned 19. Here is my blog post about it, and here is the cake:
  7. My daughter is two years old on Tuesday (it's hard to believe...) and today we had her birthday party. And I made her the dress. I strated with the skirt, adapting the pattern for... a pineapple doily at the beggining... Then I the rest of the pattern came straight from my heart. I added the flower brooch and the ribbon and the underskirt. I was afraid it's too short, but it turned out the length is perfect and my girl was comfortable, especially when sitting ot playing. The dress is made with tread (size 10 I guess) and the real colour is amarant.

This tagline communicates, simply and memorably, what our vision has always been, as well as a basic truth about this fulfilling handicraft. The second is... we are giving away a $50 gift certificate (in USD) to the yarn-related online shopping site of the winner's choi
