  1. Crocheted a retro bag and lined it with some fun tie-die fabric. It's rather large-ish and perfect to tote around groceries or work stuff. But it's also great fun for the beach. You can read more about it here .
  2. Hi all, I have just completed a new bag design with textured pineapple motifs. I used three different coloured yarn to create an ombre effect with black and greys. The handles are made of two layers of different coloured yarn and joined using slip stitches. The contrasting colours are shown on the top of the handles. What you do think?
  3. Hi, all! I am new to crocheting I came across this bag from Christopher Kane and would really like to make the flowers to add on to my current plain bag. This is the bag: I have this flower from the top left done so far: I also tried the daisy flower but it did not turn out well: Would appreciate any guidance I can help to make my flowers better, especially for the daisy and the big red flower on the right. Thank you in advance!
  4. Made with nylon yarn, metal zipper and faux leather
  5. I had the pleasure of testing this adorable little guy for dragnlady5. Thanks so much Kristy. He makes me smile whenever I look at him, lol! empty holding 4 skeins of cotton
  6. Here is my latest recycled tote bag that was crocheted from plastic bags cut 1 inch wide. I used some red and grey bags to add stripes to spice up this tote bag for our upcoming Relay for Life fundraising auction. I used this plarn grocery tote bag pattern.
  7. Here is a few of the market bags I've done.
  8. I crocheted a bag for my cousin and took it into Starbucks where she works to give it to her. One of her coworkers saw it and thought it was awesome and asked if I could crochet her a bag. She asked if I could crochet a chicken wing or a bottle of vodka. I told her it would depend on if I could find a pattern. So, anyone seen a pattern for either of these? I might even be able to modify it into a bag, but right now I'm having trouble finding patterns for those items as is.
  9. ** THIS CAL HAS ENDED ** Hi all! I'm hosting a Summer Fun Crochet of my Pacific Beach Bag. I just love this design so much! It has great texture and unique handles that are quick and easy to make. The best part is, you don’t need to line it! There are also some great prizes to be won. You can get all the important details on my blog here: http://crochiq.com/summer-fun-crochet-along/ PS. I'm hosting the event in a Facebook group, but participants can also share progress pics and post questions in this thread. - Harlee
  10. I have made two more bags to give to two women who run a board and care where my cousins have lived for years. These women are absolutely amazing, and I cannot say enough good things about them. They are 110% crochet worthy, so I made two of these bags for them as a way to say thank you for all that they have done through the years. One of my cousins recently passed, and the other has cancer. Through it all they have been at their side and treat my cousins as if they were family. These are extraordinary people, and I hope I have achieved making them each an extraordinary bag. Here is a blog post with a couple of pictures of the smaller one all on its own.
  11. Here is my bag for summer, and here is a link a blog post that includes more photos:
  12. I have designed a case or a pouch that is sized for a pack of cigarettes----I know bad habit! I don't smoke but a friend who does asked me to design a case for her coffin nails. It can be converted to a neck pouch. These are popular at music festivals when all you need are a few small essentials. Here is the link for the free pattern: Case or Pouch Maria
  13. I was inspired by some beautiful overlay crochet motifs I saw on Pinterest and decided to make a pattern of my own and put it on a cute tote to carry around my projects in progress. My flower is not as bulky looking as other overlay crochet motifs I have seen because it doesn't overlay multiple rows over the entire motif. I used the technique sparingly to give the flower some dimension. Pattern available here. The pattern is written in great detail and includes in-progress pictures to help explain it better. Enjoy! Feel free to check out my blog for many more FREE crochet (and knit) patterns and project ideas.

  22. I am wanting to make a bag and I found this pattern:http://www.simplicity.com/t-free-crochet-project-casual-shoulder-bag.aspx But the only problem is it is bigger than I would like. So I was wondering if it would be possible to make the bag about the size of a normal piece of paper (8 1/2" x 11")? I am new to crochet so I don't know how to do this (if it is even possible!). Thanks for all answers!!!!
