  7. Hello everyone! I've looked everywhere for some information about a project I'm working on. I've crocheted a granny stitch rows blanket. It's not a very open crochet because I crochet tight. So the weave is pretty dense. The blanket is done in colors of the rainbow using Stylecraft Special DK. So here's the question.. I want to put a few applique sea turtles on the blanket. I've run the gamut of using felt, flannel and I think I've decided on quilters cotton. I have a silhouette cameo I'm going to use to cut the pieces, hopefully (crosses fingers). I don't know the best way to attach the applique to the blanket itself. Should I hand stitch, use a sewing machine (I'm thinking not), or use a stick on interface? I think hand stitch is probably the best choice. It's a baby blanket so it will be washed a lot and I feel funny having anything sticky near the baby. This is my first grandbaby!! If I hand stitch should I stitch with yarn or thread? Any information at all that you can provide will be greatly appreciated. Cloth suggestions, attaching suggestions...anything. I've gone back and forth so many times. I want to have it done by the baby shower which is June 28th. I've gotten pretty good at the crocheting but I'm definitely a novice seamstress. Feel free to check out my blog to see some of my completed crochet items. It's http://poquosongirl Thanks!
