  1. I am following the red heart/yarnspirations pattern for "Holiday Crochet Stocking" & I am having a lot of trouble with the heel section of the pattern. It calls to sc 15, sc2tog, sc 1. Then goes on to sc 9, sc2tog sc1, next row is sc 10 sc2tog sc1 & then 11, 12. Etc.... but when I get to the sc 10 sc2tog there isn't anymore stitch to sc2tog... what am I doing wrong!? Thanks!
  2. Well I thought I should start the 2020 thread for the mini Christmas stocking drive for Warmth for Warriors (W4W). I've been heading up this charity stocking drive for several years now here at Crochetville. Each year people crochet, knit, or sew mini handmade Christmas stockings for the troops. Stockings should be around 6 inches long and any pattern style or color is accepted. Stockings that are a little smaller or larger are okay too. The miniature stockings are filled at W4W Headquarters with soaps, toiletries, and candies for overseas to our troops as a little Christmas gifts. The little stockings filled with goodies are a wonderful way to say thank you to our troops and give them a little Christmas cheer during the holidays. We also need donations of the little motel sized soaps, shampoos, chapsticks and other small items for stuffing the stockings. Shipping address for all USPS packages to: Warmth for Warriors PO Box 353 Rudyard, MI 49780 Mini Cuffed Christmas Stocking Deadline for shipping stockings to Warmth for Warriors and delivery to them is November 1, 2020. It's never too early to start making these little stockings for the troops. We need lots of the mini stockings. Last year over 3,000 stockings were received by Warmth for Warriors. So get those hooks out and let's make some Christmas stockings for our troops.
  3. I was asked by our niece if I could crochet her kids a personalised stockings, never done anything like this before, for a first attempt, I think it went well!
