  1. Hi there, I don't suppose anyone on here has the book mentioned above? It mentions that you can add a hood to your doll's jacket but I can't find the pattern for the hood anywhere in the book. Am I missing something? If anyone does know where to find it could you please tell me the page number? Thank you!
  2. Hi, I'm a newbie. My purpose for starting crochet is because my quadriplegic mother is always needing new shawls, and I found a wheelchair shawl pattern, which is a gift from above! I hope to make a lot for many people if I can figure it all out! :-) I'm still working out how to read patterns, and I've come to the above step. I am to double crochet 58, make 5 chains, and what--leave one empty chain? I don't understand the 1 space(s) thing.

  7. I also have a question myself, if someone could help. I'm working with a sweater pattern, and when I reached the end of my first row (using double crochet), it says, chain 3 turn 3, then continues on with the pattern for that row. So my question is, what does turn three mean? Nothing I can find on the internet is helping. From this: "repeat ** until the end of the row sk 3 , 1dc, ch 3 turn 3. Ch5, 1sc in the first ch space,"
  8. Hello, I'm new to the forum and also fairly new to crocheting. I have a pattern for two amigurumi dogs i got from a magazine but I'm unsure of how to get started as the directions don't specify how long my chain should be. It just says 1ch and then 8 dbl stch. I'll attach images to show you. Any help would be great! Thank you Linda
  9. Hi, I've been working on making this beautiful toque originally by Magic Doll, but I am now having difficulties with the flower. Every pattern I find isnt the right stitch/look. Would anyone happen to know a good pattern or video I could follow to recreate this? Any size is fine, I'll adjust to make it this large. Also, I'm looking for the red parts, the black parts seem to be a faux fur yarn she has added in. If I were more trusting of online shopping, I would gladly buy it, I find it stunning. I've included the link below as well as attached pictures. http://www.dezzal.com/hats/petal-knitted-hit-color-hat-p_63812.html Thank you!
  10. Need crochet pattern for monkey head. NOT sock monkey. Ape or monkey will do, or would love a monkey lovey pattern. Must be free. Thanks in advance for any help you can give me.

  12. Hi there! I am very new to crocheting and currently am trying to teach myself how to follow a pattern I have an amigurumi deer. I had the help of YouTube videos, but now I find myself at a lost. The part I am at says to start with a new yarn for the back leg. Then it says: "Begin at the end of ch13 from (b), work downward (see diagram). R1: ch1, 5cr (in last 5ch from the (b) ch13), t." I looked at the provided diagram and I am so, so confused. I guess what I dont understand is am I supposed to continue working on the crochet piece of the main body by stitching into it? or will I add the leg on later on? Also, if it is that I stitch into it, could someone provide a youtube link on how to do this if you wouldn't mind? I think for the part after the leg, the buttox, I will also be lost. Could someone please help guide me? I would be open to a google hangout or skype or something to better understand how to do this haha... I just want to make a crochet deer for a "deer" friend of mine <3 note: i've added some photos of the pattern. I have done most of the outer body i think correctly. Just need to do the back leg right now. thank you in advance for the help!
  13. I saw this top online and I want to try making something like it but I stumped on how there are crosses in the lace. I only every learned how to make them from inside to outside p.s. Image quality is rather poor
  14. Hello, I'm just looking to get some clarification for a pattern. I have attached the pdf of the pattern - it should be fairly simply but there are a couple of bits that I'm uncertain on. The pattern starts with chaining 141 then a foundation row of dc in each chain which all makes sense. Then it says the following: 3ch, 1tr into first dc. * Miss 2ch, 3tr into next dc, rep from * until last 3ch. Miss 2ch, 2tr into last dc on row and turn. I understant the chain 3 then triple into the top of the first double crochet form the previous row. Then I'm a bt confused, does "Miss 2ch" mean chain 2 whilst skipping the underlying dc?? Or skip the next two stitches or just chain 2 or something else?? Hope that makes sense, thanks in advance. Lily granny_blanket_small.pdf
  15. Hi, I have a number of patterns that I need testing and feedback on. There will be a a mixture of small amigurumi and animal cushions. Should have all finished by the end of the month. Will be written in US terms. Let me know if you are up for testing these, I would really appreciate the feedback before I put them on Etsy. Will post pictures of the items here soon Thanks Vicky
  16. Hi everyone. Newbie here and to crochet. I found amigurumi and haven't stopped making all kinds of things, since I started about 6 months ago. I feel I'm finally ready to make my own pattern, as I had an epiphany last night, about amigurumi and math. I hate math...a lot. I'm more of a, 'right-brained,' kind of person. I have been looking for an amigurumi pattern generator and cannot find anything. I also was thinking perhaps patterns could be made in CAD, or vectorworks, Has anyone done anything like that?? Also, if this is is the wrong forum, please let me know. Happy Hooking!!
  17. I am looking for testers for my bowler hat in the following sizes: 0-3 / 3-6 / 6-12 months and Teen/Small Adult. Pattern is worked with worsted weight acrylic and a 5 mm (H-8) hook. I would like feedback (and pictures if possible) by the end of this weekend, August 11th. Compensation: free final copy of the pattern and one free pattern from my shop on Etsy. http://www.etsy.com/ca/shop/CharmedByEwe Thanks! Janaya
  18. Hello! I found a pattern for some adorable baby sandals/booties, but the pattern doesn't give instructions for the soles, just a diagram. Can anyone tell me if I have interpreted it correctly? Round 1: ch 13, hdc in 3rd chain from hook, 9hdc, 6hdc in next chain, 9hdc, 5hdc in chain with 1st hdc, sl st (not sure exactly where to sl st). 30 stitches. Round 2: ch 1 (should it be ch 2 because of hdc?), 10 hdc, 2hdc (5 times), 10 hdc, 2hdc (5 times), sl st (again, not sure where). 40 stitches. Round 3: ch 1 (again, should it be ch 2?), 10 hdc, *2hdc, hdc* (*5 times), 10hdc, *2hdc, hdc* (*5 times), sl st. 50 stitches. I made 1 sole, and the length is almost 5". The pattern says it should be about 4". I'm using Lily Sugar 'n Cream, and an "F-3.75" hook. They call for 3.5 which I don't have at the moment. I don't think the .25" larger hook would account for the longer length though, would it? I'm crocheting pretty tightly too. These are for a baby due in July, should I try to get them smaller? I'm not sure about sizes Thank you for any help you can give me! https://molanmiscalcetas.es/en/summer-crochet-bootees-3retocrochetero2/
  19. Hi all, I have been stuck on a section for the past two days. I have been trying to research it but really have no idea. Hoping someone could tell me what the pattern is instructing please. Body Row 1: Ch 2 (does not count as st here and throughout), dc in first 4 (1, 4, 1, 4) sts, [dc in next 3 (4, 4, 5, 5) sts, 2 dc in next st] 12 times, dc in each remaining st across, turnβ€”68 (74, 80, 86, 92) dc. What does the 1, 4, 1, 4 mean and the other numbers in the brackets. Very confused? Thanks heaps
  20. I have been in love with this knit headband pattern for years. I have tried to reproduce it with crochet with limited success and wondered if anyone had seen a similar crochet pattern please? http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/blue-leaf-headband This is a link to the crochet version I came up with but it isn't really recreating the intricacies of the knit version. I used angled post stitches. https://instagram.com/p/BHDqv5WDoTH/ Grateful for any advice. Thanks so much. ????
  21. I can't figure out if [sc, inc] around means to sc and then increase the rest, or alternate sc and inc over and over.
  22. Hi, I'm new to crocheting and I'm trying out this baby blanket pattern. My pattern says at the end of row 1 to turn my work. And for the second row, "Row 2 – ch 1 {does not count as st}, 1 dc in first st, *skip 3 sts, 5 tr in next st {makes a shell}, skip 3 sts, 1 dc in next st; repeat from * to end". Does this mean I chain 4 for the treble, then an extra chain on top of that when beginning the next row? And when it says " 1 dc in the first stitch", does it mean the first stitch from the hook?
