I have held onto this pattern for a LONG time. After several years- I finally felt confident enough to tackle it. But... I've been stumped on this part for awhile. I thought it may have been a mistake. I have never seen armhole shaping worked into the back by leaving stitches unworked on BOTH sides of the row. This one is written as follows for the back piece: "For the armhole shaping leave 4 sts each side unworked, then leave sts unworked every row as foll: 2 sts 3 times = 61 sts. Work even until piece measures 27"/69 cm from beg. For the shoulder shaping leave sts unworked each side 8 sts 2 times. When piece measures 27 1/2"/70 cm from beg, for the neck shaping leave the center 29 sts unworked and work both sides at once." Full Pattern: https://knitted-patterns.com/knitting-for-women/crochet/jackets/3695-crocheted-jacket-with-lapel How do you you leave stitches unworked on BOTH sides of the row? I know how to leave "remaining" stitches unworked or to work decreases at the beginning & end of the row, but not this. The only way I could think it's possible is to start new yarn for each row, but that would be ridiculous, right? If you know something I don't- any help/advice would be appreciated. (Just an added note: I haven't got there yet, but I also noticed it states to work both sides at once for the shoulders after leaving 29 stitches unworked in the middle. I'm not sure how you would do that either. I'm used to working one side and then reattaching yarn to work the other side.) Thank you in advanced to anyone with ideas! Take Care, AmyNoelle

I recently crocheted a collar for my sister's dog, Hudson. He doesn't mind wearing it at all! Next, I'll crochet a collar for her other dog, Harlow. Harlow is a girl so I'll make something lacy and feminine.

This easy side-to-side vest pattern is now up on my blog. The available size is 46" bust and hips but if you are familiar with modular crochet you can easily modify this for your own size. The pattern is here.

I've just released the pattern for my baby peacoat: It's something a little different for boys. You can find the pattern here, I hope you like it! (Well, darn it, I don't know why the picture isn't working.)

Leaf, Flame, Petal, is what this stitch evokes for me. These are fast and lovely projects, a bit yarn intensive, but their sculptural effect is well worth it. Jewelry meets warmth in this neck adornment. Leaves and petals cluster and frame your neck. This pattern is adaptable and offers options for reconfiguration as well as matching cuffs. http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/petal-leaf-collar-and-cuffs Tools and Materials I/ 5.5 Crochet hook, Yarn needle G/4.5 mm for button optional 2.5 - 3 oz /70.9 - 80g worsted weight yarn (0.5 oz/14.2 g for cuffs) Pattern Level: Intermediate 20 - 23” L x 3- 4.5” H 50.8 cm- 58.4cm x 7.6cm- 11.4cm Cuffs 10-12”L x 2-3”H 25.4cm -30.5cm x 5 - 7.6 cm Gauge: (ww) 7 rows/11dc = 4”/10.2cm
