  1. For a chance to win one of three copies of Cute Crochet World and a sweet motif from the book, leave a comment at Lark Crafts blog: http://www.larkcrafts.com/needlearts/cute-crochet-world-giveaway/ Don't wait too long--the deadline for leaving a comment is Friday, July 11, 2014. The motifs to be given away are the Vintage Television, Gingerbread People, and a Martian Costumed Kid. Good luck! P. S. The Gingerbread People are turned wrong-side-up in this photo--they're really much nicer-looking!
  2. Hey everyone! Along with 12 great amigurumi designers this winter I created a new animal patternbook in the Zoomigurumi series. And I must say the new designs are stunning! At some point you think it really can't get any cuter - but it can! There's an explanation of all the basic stitches and materials to use for each pattern and you'll find lots of pictures of each character from all sides. Oh, and from March 1 to March 22 this edition is available at a presale price. You can take a peek at all the nice characters available in the book here: http://www.amigurumipatterns.net/zoomigurumi-books I hope you like them as much as I do Greetings! Joke

  4. I'm almost done with a project I started from the book Crochet at Home. Project name is Chunky Doily Rug is on page 71 rnd 17. I have gone over and over rnd16 to make sure I did everything correct and I have but for some reason rnd17 is like of when it comes to where to put the sts. I'm not sure if it's an error on the publisher or if I'm not just getting it. Please if you have this book and have done this rug or you have this book can you help me please. Thanks in advance for your help, Debbie
  5. I just received the book "Crochet One-Skein Wonders: 101 Projects from Crocheters Around the World." I love it! I think my favorite pattern is the "Peacock Hat". I ordered some yarn yesterday so I can make it. Does anyone else have this book? If so, what is your favorite pattern?
  6. I am very, very pleased to tell you all that my second book of crocheted flowers is finally available for sale online and in stores. It is called Crochet Garden: Bunches of Flowers, Leaves, and Other Delights. Crochet Garden was possible thanks to your support of its big sister, Crochet Bouquet. Both are published by Lark. Crochet Garden has all new flower patterns. It is very focused on four themes: Botanical Garden (realistic flowers) International Garden (flowers with a tie to various countries around the world) Inspired Garden (flowers interpreted from decorative arts like embroidery, weaving, chinaware) Fun and Fantastic Garden (imagine "Candy Cornflower," "Imp Flower," and "Frost Flower") It also has a few leaves, a peacock, a butterfly with variations. Crochet Garden reintroduces a vintage crochet stitch, the Russian Spoke Stitch. I'm proud of the Tole Tulip and the Twirl Center Rose because they are unusual and have kind of cool construction. I hope you'll visit my blog, where I have already posted a tutorial and free instructions for the Pasque Flower (it's on the cover, but we somehow cut it from the text). http://www.textilefusion.com/bookblog
