I am not sure if it's his first teddy bear but I crocheted this bear for my grandson's first birthday gift. I used the seamless crochet pattern from the Mother Bear Project to make the bear. I worked it in the round without joining or turning.

Here are two more bears I crocheted for the Mother Bear Project. The one on the right is PJ "sleepy" bear and the one on the left is Jammy bear. I used Red Heart Plush Baby yarn I found in the discontinued yarn bin to crochet both of these bears. Nice yarn and made cute pajamas for the bears.

I bought Geek Girl a new coat last week, we only noticed once it was on that the fur was just a collar not a hood, this made her sulk so I promised her a new hat too. I am rather proud of it and she didn't take it off until bathtime.

Here is my first crocheted bear for the Mother Bear Project. If you aren't familiar with the organization, they give bears to children in other countries that are affected by HIV/AIDS to provided love through either a crocheted or knitted bear using their patterns to help with the costs of sending the bears to the children. Here is the direct link to Mother Bear Project if anyone would like to help. I used the crocheted seamless pattern with a few changes. I crocheted most of the bear without joining or working the Ch-1, turn that the pattern calls for. The pattern works up quickly and is easy to follow.

Hello! My name is Magnus. I am a cute little bear from Brno (Czech Republic). I am very curious and like to make friends. I can play all day long and almost never get tired. I also like eating honey (of course!), dancing and I love sports. At night I like to sleep in bed with someone to hug. Pattern is written for one size, it contains 8 pages with written instructions and pictures in progress. There is also stitch guide included explaining how every stitch should be made and instructions on how the bear should be put together. Pattern also contains detailed photo tutorial on how bear’s face is embroidered. http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/magnus-bear

Hello all, New to this forum so a short introduction. I'm from the Netherlands, but I currently live in Iceland because of work. I love to crochet and have been doing this as a hobby for several years now. Family and friends have been asking me about the dolls I crochet, and I've soled a couple as baby shower presents. And now I started getting emails about the patterns of them. Any tips for me about pattern writing or about what would be cool to have as a pattern in a etsy store? I plan to create some new original dolls, so any kind of comment is welcome. thanks, Linda

A new little bear has been born in the Flowerumi hospital. I had another name all picked out for her, but since she she was bound and determined to be funny, cute, happy, and bright, almost neon bright, Spunky became a natural name for her, it just fit her so well! According to Papa Bear, you better put on your sunglasses before you take a peek. You can take a look at her here: http://friendsofcraftybegonia.blogspot.com/2012/08/spunky-flowerumi-bear.html Hope you like her! Clotilde
