  1. I'm going to make her two blankets. One lumberjack for in the winter because it's so thick. and the granny ghan for in the summer. I always try to make the infant blankets with holes in them because both my son and nephews liked to pull blankets over thier heads when they were babies, and it makes me feel better that if they do that, that they can still breath through the blanket.
  2. My sister called me last night freaking out cause she wanted to know if I started the blanket yet. She wanted to switch colors. So now it's Pink and Brown.
  3. I love those diaper cakes. I used to work in a deli and one of the bakery ladies made them. I had her make one for my cousin when she was pregnant. My son stole my fleece blanket that we had in the living room. It was a huge one and he was only a year old at the time, so I cut it in half and crochet a cute border around it. I figured when one was dirty, I could swap them and he wouldn't know the difference.
  4. I'm going to bring this back around. seems like I have another baby shower to attend. My sister is having her first baby so I need to think of a pattern. I'm stuck between three patterns. Either the lumberjack, giant granny, or a ripple. I'm using Pink and Black. So, anyone wanna do this with me?
  5. it's really only one color, I used Homespun Prarie, so it sorta self-stripes. I'm gonna make a different one with homespun grape for my sister in law, she's 16 so she should love it. I just have to knock out one or two more projects, cause my husband says I have too much yarn and half made things laying around. lol
  6. lol no it don't have sleeves that's just how it looks cause it's so big. but it's so warm I love it
  7. i started another poncho, for myself. It's a variation of the black and white poncho. I didn't like all the holes in it so i started another one and took out the holes. once you have the collar down pat you can do alot of different stitches and make them all look different. I'll post pics as soon as i get the different colors in

  16. awsome tammy looking forward to see what you've come up with:P
  17. I've run into a problem with the black and white poncho pattern and I emailed the designer, so now I am waiting for a responce. The poncho seems to be turning to the left on me and I think I know why but I emailed her to see if there is a correction.
  18. Yeah I'm sending my husband to walmart tomorrow morning to pick me up 3 more things of yarn since my calculations were incorrect lol, but i should be done with this one hopefully by sunday afternoon cause i want to wear it to my parents for easter. But I plan on making a couple more to sell at the craft fair. I'm not gonna make them from any of those patterns since copyrite and all but i've been studying those designs and I think I can come up with something by myself from what I've learned from all my favorites.
  19. I'm using Homespun Prarie it's really pretty and it stripes on it's own too. it goes from orange to blue, purple , brown and a couple other colors. I picked it out cause it will look good with jeans and I'm trying to grow the dye out of my hair and it will match my natural haircolor which is blondish brown. Here's another link that I like See I like the long ponchos http://www.lionbrand.com/patterns/chs-mansPoncho.html
