  9. I just made two of these potholders. I will actually use them for hot pads to place my hot pans/plates on. I used Red Heart WW yarn since I could not find any cotton yarn in these colors in my local craft stores. They measure about 8" across with an H hook for me.

  12. I recently did these dishcloths, one is a new pattern on my blog, actually both are, one done in brown, the other done in a variegated. I think this would also work done in a green for Christmas.
  13. hmm.......I think different shades might work.......in all honesty, I am not sure, I am thinking maybe if they are solid colors they will work, but It's hard to say, as I don't want to "ruin" a square for someone by saying that multiple colors will not take away from the design. To be completely honest and this is my own opinion and from seeing other crochet pieces with a ch1 making the design, that one color works best. I hope that helps and I am sorry it took me awhile to get back to you.

I am sure you will love it here. when I sew flowers onto hats and things, I will pick up a stitch from the back of the flower and a stitch on the hat, without going through to the back, this way no ends will show up on the inside of the hat. I am sure you could look at youtube for a video. Many helpful videos there.
