  1. A new site has just launched named www.myedustation.com and it is looking for people who have education, motivational and inspirational audio, video and doc. files to share. So please come join and share your knowledge with us.
  2. Congrats on making it to step one. Admitting the problem. Now all we have to do is help you get a MUCH BIGGER stash and feed your addiction. You'll be right in no time. From a fellow yarn junky
  3. LOL you think that's bad try being young and male being a crocheter. SO MANY HEARTS STOP. LOL Then of course the 20 plus questions come from every angle. The moments of disbelief and denial. I love it all. I'm only 27 and for the last 4 years I have been put to the test and I love every minute of it. And the funny thing about it is my granny doesn't have the patience for crocheting and SHE'S RETIRED. LOL I will post the basket I made for my then unborn neice and my oldest brother (and he still can't believe I made all of it) that he and his wife loved so much their hearts skipped 5 beats when I told them I made it. Charles Yarn Junky
  4. Now I know you have been told that you can't buy anymore yarn but they didn't say anything about other people buying yarn for you. So take a friend to Michael's and just give them a list of what you want. and when the bags appear in the house you can honestly say "I Didin't Buy It":hook
  5. clocke the first step to advancing your yarn addiction is to admit to it.
  6. I think you all are better then the government with some of the stories I have read about stashing yarn. The problem that I have is my fiance goes in every room so it's hard to be a double agent with my yarn. That's why I came here for training. Charles Yarn Junky
  7. Trust me the way he plays video games he has no problem using both hands at the same time. LOL Charles Yarn Junky
  8. Hello to all. I have an issue. For a while now I have been trying to figure out a way to teach my left handed step son how to crochet. He is now SICK N TIRED of watching me do it. He now wants his hands on some yarn. But before I make him a yarn junky like me I need help on how to teach him. Since he sees things in such a different way I am having issues converting what I have learned to the opposite hand. PLEASE HELP. Charles The Yarn Junky:hook and (soon to be) Yarn Junky Jr.
  9. Thank you everyone for the welcome. I see that this is a forum not only with people who have a sense of humor but I am now thoroughly convinced that all of you are just as crazy as I am when it comes to CROCHETING. I love it. I hope to learn a lot from all of you and made a lot of new (and interesting) friends. Charles The Yarn Junky
  10. Hello to everyone. My name is Charles. I'm 27 years old. And I'm a yarn junky. I first found out I had this problem about 5 years ago when I first learned to crochet. Now it has gotten out of control. It started with just 1 or 2 skeins of yarn here and there for small projects. But then I noticed that I couldn't stop buying more yarn. The more patterns I found the more yarn I bought. Even when there were no patterns I still bought yarn. Different colors different fabrics different weights I just couldn't stop. I found myself stashing yarns away in the house away from my fiance hoping she wouldn't figure out my problem but she eventually found out. And to make my problem worse she started buying yarn for projects she wanted me to make for her. Each day I search the net looking for new yarn to satisfy this craving for newer yarns. It really got bad when I started buying new yarns before I would finish a project, then I would start a new project with the new yarn and not finish the old project. When I'm at work all I think about is the next skein or book or hook set I can buy. It has consumed me. I am here to reach out for help. My name is Charles and I'm a Yarn Junky! Charles
