  1. oh my goodness, i just realized i haven't logged in since NOVEMBER!! that's so bad of me! we moved from england to alberta in canada -- still settling in! getting used to the snow (eek!), great schools for the kids, and still looking for good groups to crochet with and possibly learn to knit and sew too. just wanted to say HI Y'ALL!!
  2. i was looking around for a decal/skin for my daughter's DSlite for xmas and found this! http://www.skinit.com/skins/styleskins/textiles how cool is that -- i know it's called "knit" but i will forgive it i may just pick one of these skins up for my own DSlite

ahh that is cute! that would go great with all those lovely little crochet foods that are out there!
  4. that is so funny! my husband actually looked over and said MAKE ME THAT! yeah right, in his dreams great job!!
  5. (i had put this in the crochet help section - d'oh should have put it here:P) How would you suggest going about teaching an 8 year old how to crochet? Are there any online video instructions geared towards kids? She can be pretty impatient, so I think something that she can watch over and over again may help - plus she loves the computer, so she will listen to it better than me! and then I can be there for the support! Any good kids sites out there? Thanks guys!!
  6. i saw the cutest piggy blanket in an issue of a crochet magazine recently... however, i cannot remember which mag it was?? any help? it was a cute pink pig squares and it think it was green (although am not certain) -- i will likely have to order the magazine as our local shops only carry one or two of "international" mags -- any help?? is the pattern available online through the magazine to buy i wonder? which mag? any guesses? thanks!!

  8. I just discovered this one today! Looks like a great book, I think I will pick it up next weekend ... I did however get: Mr. Funky's Super Crochet Wonderful by Narumi Ogawa which I think is great - little cute animals plus assessories like hats and scarfs for yourself!
  9. Please post it when your done - it would be great to see how you make it work Such a great idea!
  10. Yeah, I thought so too :) I can't wait to see what she makes!!
  11. how did you get on - i was interested in what you found/made i did find this on the 'net as an example - really cool http://yarrrn.blogspot.com/2008/02/gnome-home.html
  12. i don't know if anyone can help me (or if it's ok to post in this area:think) but i would like to help with crochet charity projects, but i have no idea how to go about finding one local to me?? i am in england, is there a reference for the UK? thanks guys!
  13. i am looking for a pattern for an easy to make (quick to make) breathable running hat for DH - any suggestions where i can find one? like a beanie or wooly cap? i am assuming that 100% cotton will be the best to use ???
