  1. Hello! I've been searching for a pattern to make my dad a crocheted holder for his iPad but been unsuccessful so far Wondering if anybody knows of any & can point me in the right direction? I found a perfect tablet cushion on Ravelry but the pattern is no longer available. http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/e-reader-or-book-pillow Thank you!

    DIY Yarn Holder?

Wow that's a simple idea but looks great!Inspired me to have a hunt round for a container and I've made one out of a large cosmetics packaging....just poked a few holes through the top to feed through the yarn Love the Idea of using a teapot as I have a small collection of them but I only have little teapots! So might have a look round some local charity shops. As it would look adorable! Thank you everybody for your help, much appreciated =)

    DIY Yarn Holder?

Does anybody have any homemade yarn holder ideas? I constantly have yarn balls jumping and rolling everywhere when I'm crocheting (which my cat seems to love, but can be quite distracting!!) I've had a google for ideas but wondered if anyone has any tried & tested ways to hold/feed their yarn, that's easy to make? Many thanks =)

    Checking tension

Well I'm gonna attempt to make this top.... I've never made anything to exact measurements before...only hats/ mitts/ etc. So this should be a nice challenge
  6. They are eye catching and very pretty. I'm very grateful for your suggestion as it is just perfect. Will definitely let you see the finished clock

    Checking tension

Hello there! I recently purchased a pattern for a pullover and I'm struggling to check the tension. It reads: "1 pattern repeat measures 10cm over 16 sts and 6 cm over 8 rows with 4mm hook or size required to give correct tension. 15 doubles and 9 1/2 rows to 10cm over double pattern on 4mm hook or size req." Do I make a swatch made of 10 rows of 15 doubles? Thank you
  9. Thank you for your awesome suggestion...the flower is beautiful! Will definitely use your idea as it is lovely & will add to it. May even make a start tonight as I've added it to my Ravelry library. Many thanks
  10. Fab! Lovely ideas. Now I have some inspiration, I just have to decide Thanks!
  11. That is a super idea! Think I will definately do that Thanks! As I'm making an un-festive version, I'm not sure what to replace the Santa appliqué with...any ideas?
  12. Hello, I came across the pattern in issue 37 of Simply Crochet magazine. It's from a few months ago but here is a link to purchase the magazine issue... http://www.simplycrochetmag.co.uk/2015/10/15/simply-crochet-issue-37-new-issue/ I'm adapting the pattern design so it's not festive and suitable for all year round
  13. Hi, I'm making a Cuckoo Clock wall hanging which is made up of flat, crocheted pieces and at the moment I'm decreasing by 2 stitches on each row for 16 rows (beginning & end of each row) but the pattern reads: 'Ch1, skip next stitch, sc in each st to last 2 sts, sc2tog , turn' ...Why does it say to skip the first stitch rather than sc2tog at both beginning & end of each row? Is there a benefit in doing it this way? Will it affect the way it looks? Thank you
  14. Thank you for the very helpful advice & instructions! Exactly what I needed Excited now that I can carry on with my rucksack!
  15. Hi Wondering if anyone has any hints or tips for measuring and making a cotton lining for my crocheted backpack? As the base is oval, I just don't know where to start! The circumference of the bag is 32'' / 81cm and the height measures 16'' / 41cm. Thanks!
