A Few Things About Me

  1. Hi all, everyone is very friendly and helpful. It's great to meet you all.
  2. Hi all Sorry for my late reply. @mcf Colour change yarn looks fabulous in entrelac. I could use that and mix with blocks of colour too. @gs the rainbow is really pretty, not sure if it's a bit to bright for my friend her home is decorated in muted colours. I'll be working it in rounds rather than rows. @rrdz I don't mind colour changes in fact I get bored of the same colour. @renic I did see the pattern called for a different size, I'm not going to strictly follow a pattern just working Tunisian Crochet in entrelac and see how it goes. My plan is 4ply yarn and 4.5mm
  3. Hiya I'll be using a tunisian stitch "entrelac" its made up of small squares. https://s-media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com/236x/30/55/46/305546d5d5d8df50ae9248ee22d33452.jpg I suppose yes it should be machine washable, I hadn't thought of that! A very good point thank you. Line dried is fine.
  4. Hi A friend of mine recently announced she's expecting her first baby. Very exciting. I'd like to make her an entrelac blanket but I'm stuck on yarn types suitable for a baby and also colours since I don't know if it's a boy or girl. I'm planning to use DK or 4ply yarn Any advice welcome.
  5. Hi all I'm from Surrey in England. I've been crocheting for a while and dabbled in amigurumi clothes blankets etc I've tried my hand at Irish and recently started Tunisian crochet. I look forward to sharing and gaining advice with you all.
