  1. Love your pattern; one of the first that caught my eye!
  2. They certainly are! It's a good thing I don't live too close to them! It's a family business, great to visit, especially if you can get there during one of their special sales events. The website is www.yarn.com

  4. I'm organizing a k/c-a-thon on Sunday, September 25, which Knit-A-Way (www.knitaway.com) will host, following the Atlantic Antic (http://www.atlanticave.org/antic2005.htm); come and make items for people displaced by Katrina. For info on items you can make/that Lisa Gentry will receive for distribution, see http://www.caneyladyscreations.com/ Just a few particulars... If you wish to eat/drink (downstairs), bring your own goodies. There will not be facilities or activities for children. I will attempt to provide patterns that specific charities prefer; however, if you are familiar with a charity, please bring their info (guidelines, requirements, patterns, etc.) Otherwise, for those who wish to make items for Warm Up America (http://www.warmupamerica.com/patterns.html), Hats 4 the Homeless (www.hats4thehomeless.org) or The Ships Project (http://www.theshipsproject.com/ItemGuidelines.htm); (scroll down for patterns) as originally decided as the Hook-Up's group project, I will make arrangements for distribution. If you have any questions/concerns, feel free to email me at bklynvonne @ hotmail.com.

  18. Funny...I just recently found out about that myself...can you say day trip?
  19. I actually saw that...tried googling him, but couldn't find him
  20. The poncho looks crocheted to me...I especially like the border! I'm sure with the flood of requests, MS is trying to accomodate. At the very least, it's good public relations; more importantly, I think it would be nice for the person who made it to benefit as well. Lion Brand is on the bandwagon to 'duplicate' the poncho...
  21. March 2005 is National Crochet Month; see www.knitaway.com/Events.html for more info.
  22. Where I've shopped Knit-A-Way, http://www.knitaway.com Smiley's Yarns, http://www.smileysyarns.com The Yarn Tree, http://www.theyarntree.com The Yarn Connection, theyarnconnection.com/ Also, feel free to visit groups.msn.com/VonsCroche...stash.msnw for other stores/sources.
  23. I'll be at the CGOA Spring Regional, and if I might clarify... The CGOA and the TKGA will be holding simultaneous conventions; they are separate events, just in the same 'place' at the same time. The Fiber Arts Market will feature vendors likely from around the country and will maybe include beads and buttons, too
