  2. They certainly are! It's a good thing I don't live too close to them! It's a family business, great to visit, especially if you can get there during one of their special sales events. The website is www.yarn.com

  4. I'm organizing a k/c-a-thon on Sunday, September 25, which Knit-A-Way (www.knitaway.com) will host, following the Atlantic Antic (http://www.atlanticave.org/antic2005.htm); come and make items for people displaced by Katrina. For info on items you can make/that Lisa Gentry will receive for distribution, see http://www.caneyladyscreations.com/ Just a few particulars... If you wish to eat/drink (downstairs), bring your own goodies. There will not be facilities or activities for children. I will attempt to provide patterns that specific charities prefer; however, if you are familiar with a charity, please bring their info (guidelines, requirements, patterns, etc.) Otherwise, for those who wish to make items for Warm Up America (http://www.warmupamerica.com/patterns.html), Hats 4 the Homeless (www.hats4thehomeless.org) or The Ships Project (http://www.theshipsproject.com/ItemGuidelines.htm); (scroll down for patterns) as originally decided as the Hook-Up's group project, I will make arrangements for distribution. If you have any questions/concerns, feel free to email me at bklynvonne @ hotmail.com.
