  1. They Call Me Bean

    2trcl

There is an explination in the pattern, but my brain wont grasp it. 2trcl = *[yo] twice and draw up a loop in the stitch specified, [yo and draw through 2 loops] twice: rep from * once more; yo and draw through all 3 loops on the hook. Maybe its the brackets, but i had to read it six times just to type it, much less try to do it.. Help please:(
  2. O.K. UPDATE!!! In October I will... Finish putting all those saltines together for my School Bus Cuddle -about 1/4 finished Finish the Giant Rectangle Granny for my BFF's DD - only have maybe 10 rows left Make those repairs to my DS's Granny Ghan I've been promising to fix Go get my stash out of storage from the move. - DONE!!! Find the Snowflake Ghan peices - also somewhere in storage - done, but still missing hte pattern and I have no idea what hook I was using At least attempt to learn how to do that ripple pattern I found, lol - done. I worked up a swatch and TA-DA!!! It actually made sense to me, lol
  3. OK. I worked up a small sample of the ripple ghan and after threee attempts, I GET IT!! :cheerI'm so excited!!! Now I just have to go dig my stash out of storage.....or I could make a shopping trip:2nono....then again, I'd like my Husband to continue speaking to me so maybe not, lol. I'm making a lot of progress on the Giant Rectangle Granny.. It's been chilly lately and I love working on something large that I can snuggle under. The Quilt Ghan is another matter entirely. I used the ends I left to connect the saltines in rows, but now I have to find the rest of the yarn to connect the rows...
  4. I used to chat in a parenting chat room in Yahoo forever ago and my SN was Jellybean...It got shortened to Bean and kinda stuck. I am trying the ripple as soon as I get my hands on my stash, lol. It's the simplest pattern I can find that doesn't leave holes... My DS want's to know when I'm gonna make something without all the holes.. He says his toes get stuck
  5. I love this idea... In October I will... Find the Snowflake Ghan peices - also somewhere in storage At least attempt to learn how to do that ripple pattern I found, lol (I'm a chicken...anything that doesn't work similarly to a granny, I stay away from cause I'm really bad at not missing a stitch...but I CAN DO IT!! )
  6. OHHH!!!! B-E-A-UTIFUL SUNSHINE!!! Took the boys and the DH to the baseball field and crocheted in the glorious sunshine while the boys wore their dad out, . They even managed to get me out there for the last hour or so:cheer. Thats about all I can handle...Mom is WAY out of shape,. Got three rows done on the rectangle granny ghan for my BFF's DD. Now that I'm home and can spread out:yarn:hook i'm going to try to make some more progress assembling the school bus cuddle... I'm so horribly bad at assembly... Nothing I make with motifs ever turns out as pretty as my one pieces...
  7. I just started assembly on my School bus cuddle. I've had the saltines done since April of last year, but they got packed up with everything else, lol. Got three strips done today. I DETEST moving!!! We originally moved in with friends while we were having MAJOR work done on our house..Then we moved in with my MIL to help her out after her shoulder surgery..Then moved to my mothers for the last few months while we got the house ready..SO glad to be home!!!!
  8. O.K. So, I've been gone for a little while....like over a year:(. But, I'm BACK!!!. I got married, and moved FOUR:eek times!!! In all that moving all my crocheting has been pretty much packed up for a year also.. FINALLY, life has returned to the same neighborhood as normal, and I have my hooks out again!!!
  9. The Good, the bad, and the ugly... Good - I finished ALL the squares for the School Bus Cuddle:cheer Bad - Now I have to put them together:eek Ugly - My local Wal-Mart just reduced their yarn to an 8 ft section I'm off to bed for now. We have a LONG day here tomorrow. My oldest boy has a baseball game @ 12:00pm, and my youngest has a double header. One game @ 10:00am and another one @ 1:30pm:juggle
  10. It's me again, lol. Just cheching in. I love all the pic's ya'll have posted!! I find my inspiration here. 11. Okay, so I've been gone for awhile...well, not really gone...but I haven't been posting. It's just really hard to keep up now that I am working. I'm doing the School Bus Cuddle for my mom. 12. OMG HI!! I'm right next to you in Winder. I would love to know more about the Atlanta group. I myself just figured out my first pattern, I've been doing nothing but grannies and variations of them for a year and a half:rofl. Feel free to pm me here anytime:)
  13. Wow, I guess I'm at -5%....I can't even cast on:lol.
  14. OK, Here it is with the border Clickable It seems a little wonky, like it doesn't want to lay flat. Did anyone else have this issue, and did it lay better when you started to out it together?
  15. I DID IT! Clickable Now, a few questions. Is that what it is supposed to look like before the background? Do you think a J kook made it look funky? Did anyone else make all the snowflakes first and then go back and put the background on?
