  1. Thanks everyone. I ended up using two strands of Simply Soft to get the look and feel that I wanted. I used pumpkin for the orange.
  2. Thank you everyone. RoseRed its about 60"x50".
  3. I made this blanket for a friend of mine.
  4. Today was my towns Creative Arts Festival. About 4 months ago they gave me approval to make crochet covers (yarn bomb) 8 of the benches on the main street. These are the covers I came up with and I got a lot of really positive comments. Our schools mascot is a bulldog to explain that one.
  5. Thank you everyone. I don't have a pattern for this. I tried to find one when I decided to make it and couldn't so I just ended up graphing it myself then doing it all in single crochet.
  6. I made this for my dad this christmas because he rides a Truimph motorcycle and really likes the British flag.
  7. A friend of mine wanted me to make him a sweater vest and his sister had a box of yarn that she didnt want anymore so I told him I would trade my work for the yarn. I wasnt expecting this big of a box but I'm definitly happy with the trade. Does anyone else barter with their crochet work?
  8. I used the tutorial on this blog to learn how to make the bead rope and then I came up with my own bead designs. You prestring all of your beads in advance and the rope naturally spirals as you go so for the pink and black one I strung 5 blacks and 1 pink and just repeated that pattern. I read somewhere else, I cant remember where, that with size 6 seed beads every 6 inches of prestrung beads equals 1 inch of bead rope. That seemed pretty on point to me. http://perlesauvage.blogspot.com/2008/01/bead-crochet-rope.html
  9. I'll see about making a better picture version of the graph. I normally do most of my graphing in excel. And also thank you all for the nice words.
  10. My friend asked me to make a clarinet scarf in purple for her daughter and this is what I came up with.
  11. Oh this is a really nice afghan. I love the colors.
  12. Thank you all. If you're thinking about making this one dont let it intimidate you. I personally love doing any kind of colorwork crochet and this was no different. The pattern was very easy to follow. My only issues while working on it were running out of the variegated yarn and having to watch my tension. I tend to be a tight crocheter.
  13. It took me a while to get the hang of it. These are the first time I tried using beads with crochet. I still end up having to pull some out occasionally because I did it weird and the beads aren't laying right. I'm going to try it with smaller beads and thread after I get some of my other projects done.
  14. It took me about a month to finish this. Also I would recommend ordering an extra skein or two of the variegated yarn. The reason I had to alter mine was because I ran out of the gemstone at the end and I didn’t realize that was going to happen until a week before I had to have it finished.
