  6. You can find the pattern here: http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/sweet-baby-mary-janes It's a very easy pattern to follow. Have fun!
  7. Hi Denise, I'm sorry to hear about your car. The freeway has got to be one of the worse places to break down. If you find anything out about the group in Surprise, I would love to hear about it. I also make purple hats for the click for babies campaign every year. Their website can be found here: http://www.clickforbabies.org/ They partner with hospitals across the country to raise awareness about shaken baby syndrome. Right now I send my hats to Randalls Childrens Hospital in Portland, OR. We used to live in OR and we have a niece that works in the NICU at Randalls, so at least there is a connection. I keep checking to see if any of the hospitals in the Phoenix area or Denver area ( my daughter lives in Denver ) partner up with click for babies, but so far...not yet. I would love to be able to keep the items local. :-) I really like making the baby hats because they finish up sooo quickly and are so stinkin cute! I hope to hear from you soon, stay safe.
  8. Welcome Cathy! I am in Tolleson and also love doing hats...I am always working on chemo hats or preemie/baby hats to donate. Right now, however, the push is on to complete a couple more baby blankets. We 2 grandsons due soon - 1 in July and the other in August. AAHHHH...I'm running out of time! Enjoy the rest of your weekend!
  9. Love the pictures Jayashiangel. What part of AZ are you in? My DH and I moved to the Phoenix area 2 yrs ago and we just love it. The colors of some of the flowers are just beautiful. Until we moved here, I didn't realize that a cactus can have flowers. lol I especially enjoy being able to go without a coat around Christmas. Or riding with the truck windows down at 9pm in October. Although, I have to admit we get a kick out of seeing someone walking outside at night, around the end of the year, and they have a parka on! We assume that has to be someone who has lived in this state a long time. And a yarn diet??? I didn't realize anyone could have that kind of will power. I certainly don't...and the newly organized craft ( read: walk-in ) closet in the guest room is testament to that! Well I guess I have babbled enough for now. I hope all of you enjoy the rest of your weekend!
  10. I tested those shoes as well. I love the pattern, it's so easy. The hardest part has been deciding what colors to use.
  11. Hi Denise, I'm don't have the info about the group in Surprise yet. Susan has that. I did, however, meet a group of really nice ladies this last Sunday at The Corner Bakery in Glendale (?) on 83rd and Paradise. I found them on meetup.com ( sounds like a dating site, doesn't it? lol ) The name of the group is West Valley Coffee and Crochet. We will be getting together this Saturday 6/15 at 2pm at Paradise Bakery at 99th Ave and McDowell in Avondale. You're welcome to join us there. They are all very nice and made me feel quite welcome. Hope to see you there! ( It would be great if you could come as well, Susan :-) )
  12. I got Cathoms square in the mail yesterday...let the stalking of the mail person begin. lol They said you should have it by Saturday.
  13. I got it! Thank you so much. I love Hobby Lobby's cotton yarn. And the pattern is beautiful...
  14. Finished my square...It will go out in the mail on Wednesday, so CAThoms should have it by next weekend.
  15. Finally got to the mailbox today...I know, who checks their mail on Sunday? Received my square from MrsMcKee. It's beautiful! I love the colors. Thank you!
