  3. @lynnf2012 I would gladly provide the pattern however I am in the midst of moving and have no clue what box its in! When I find it I will let you know! And uh oh! Just what I need! Another project. That book looks like it could spell disaster for me LOL
  4. More often then not I get the "You have too much time on your hands" which is partly true. I live 15 hours from my home and its me and my dog. My boyfriend is 6 hours away and while I do have some great friends here, they are all married and starting families. So yes I do have too much time on my hands. Luckily I have something that I love and have made some money at in the process.. So people can judge all they want. Biggest pet peeve is the "hey grandma" which comes from most of my friends. I was traveling home one Christmas and had taken on 4 LARGE projects for gifts so I was finishing items in the airport. I had countless people approach me and complement on my work and most knew it was crocheting which was very refreshing!
  5. This is the link to the original pattern : http://www.e-patternscentral.com/detail.html?prod_id=2973&cat_id=442&criteria= After I completed the original pattern which ended up as a gift to my mother I took the same technique and charted out the larger knot pattern with the smaller one inbetween. I had originally made the knot one size bigger but it looked too busy to I stuck with the one that is pictured. I had never done any mosaic crochet but it turned out amazing!
  6. thanks everyone for the amazing welcome. I have posted with a few other forums but quickly discovered it wasn't the place for me (trolling, grammar police) and felt very unwelcome and it was obvious they were not willing to welcome anyone new. I am so glad to feel like I have found the complete opposite!
  7. Nope! Once you get it down its a piece of cake! Repeats itself so its not hard at all! One of must foray projects I picked up after not crocheting for ages...
  8. Ya that photo is very dizzying.... its not as crazy busy looking in person!
  9. Thanks! It might be mosaic... not sure... I worked one color over and back and then switched over to the other color....so one side of it was where I would switch between the two colors.
  10. Here is my all time favorite afghan that I completed about a year ago. I purchased a pattern for a similar blanket and decided that I wanted the irish knot to be larger so I graphed it out myself and made a slightly smaller afghan. After a few months on etsy it finally sold and I am now itching to start on a new one maybe flipping the green and cream colors so they are reversed. https://www.etsy.com/listing/83035248/not-your-grandmas-afghan
  11. Hello everyone! I have a few patterns that I am considering writing but before I spend the time on then I wanted to see if there would be interest in them in the first place. I looked high and low for some block letters with no luck so I decided to figure them out myself. I was wondering if I were to write the pattern if they would actually sell. The O and the S are in my etsy shop on Ohio state and Michigan state blankets... any feedback would be great! http://Www.etsy.com/shop/madebythebest
  12. Hi everyone! I am new member here on crochetville but I have been crocheting for as long as I can remember. I have a shop on etsy, http://www.etsy.com/shop/madebythebest and am slowly getting into the world of pattern writing. Hopefully here I can lean some ins and outs along with branching out into the crocheting community!
