  14. I was born in Yorkshire, but immigrated to Canada when I was young....still have a special place in my heart for fellow "Yorkshire Puddings" lol. So Welcome Aboard!!
  15. I wasn't crazy about beanies either...until I made one. They look so good on just about everyone. I have made them for my grandson, son...even daughter in camo, with an orange stripe. My daughter wore hers to kindergarten and all the kids loved it. I used the same pattern as mentioned, from the happy hooker crochet book (which is incredible, in case you haven't seen it).
  16. That is gorgeous!! You did a great job! Absolutely brilliant!
  17. That is so cool! What a great pattern!! It would make a great mat for cat dishes too, wouldn't it? Awesome job! Great design!!
  18. Hi Cheryl, your designs are adorable. I would be interested in buying your pattern too. please let me know when it is available.
  19. I think it is a "memory lane" type thing. It takes us back to a simpler time. I remember my friends having sock monkeys, but I didn't and I don't think it was as popular in England, where I was born. I like them more and more...and good thing since I design sock monkey things for my etsy site....no plug intended, lol. I hope the interest continues!!
  20. HI Britt, I was diagnosed with MS about 12 years ago, Luckily it was benign, and the episodes have not returned. I would suggest using a large hook at first and making something simple like a cranny square or dishcloth. I found it easier to hold something as big as a pencil, than a smaller hook. All the best to your mom and you....oh by the way my daughter is a Britt too (Brittany)
  21. I think that is a great way to approach it!!!
  22. Ok, so I know some of your do. But I am not sure which kind to buy: a square one or a rounded one. The rounded one would be great for baby blankets, but the square one would be great for squares....oh what to do???
  23. Oh that is so funny! You think I would know. I will have to check that out.
