  12. The bracelet will be in Camp.#15 book. I think Camp. #14 book is out now. I ordered it as a 'demo'. char
  13. Avon has a beaded wrap bracelet which is referred to as 'crochet'. Out of curiosity, I purchased one. Well, the bracelet definitely looks like 'macrame' (not crochet!) to me. Avon seems to have a difficult time correctly labeling items knit or crochet. I understand the term 'knit' can sometimes be used for crochet or knit, but macrame is a totally different thing. Has anyone else seen the bracelet? char
  14. What's the best "stiff" thread that requires little or no starching? I'm looking for a thread (to make earrings/necklaces) that's stiff and will not curl. Also what's the best thread for "drape"? Thanks! charkitty
  15. "3 hdc decrease into 1" means you are to decrease 3 hdc stitches into 1. Basically, you are turning 3 stitches into 1 stitch. EXAMPLE: insert hook into next stitch; yarn over and pull up loop; insert hook into next stitch; yarn over and pull up loop; insert hook into next stitch; yarn over and pull up loop; now pull hook through all loops on hoop; You have now decreased three hdc into one! Hope this helps! charkitty

  19. Recently while flipping through an Avon catalog, I noticed some cute little Christmas sweater ornaments that were obviously crocheted. However, they were listed as 'knitted' sweaters. I often see crochet items in catalogs/magazines referred to as 'knitted'. Since there are so few crocheted items, would it be asking too much to get it right? Just irritates me. Anyone else notice this? charkitty

  23. Thanks for your help. Unfortunately I could not open/view the sites you suggested. However, I did contact Annie's Attic and they referred me to a help site which e-mailed me the following instructions for 'Mobius Twist' which I'm sharing with anyone interested: MOBIUS TWIST: Lay your chain out flat making sure that it is straight and that it isn't twisted. Bring the 2 ends together, side by side. Take the end that you are going to join in and turn it over completely so that the top of the chain is once again at the top. Now join in the first chain. It should now be twisted 360 degrees. charkitty
