  1. I looked up the pattern on Ravelry (http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/oma-house-slippers) and it seems that a few other people have had trouble getting the numbers to match up. But then there are a few people who have commented about how perfect it is (and their FOs look great). Maybe the numbers are good for some sizes, but off for others :/
  2. Good idea! The pattern I'm referring to is for these slippers: http://www.etsy.com/listing/62872279/crochet-slipper-pattern-oma-house I'm working on the sole of a size 5-6 and am stuck on round 3. I did send the author a message but I'm not sure how long it will take for her to get back to me, so I'd love some help from anyone else who might have purchased the pattern.
  3. So that means I did it right, but still came out with the wrong number of stitches. I wanted to ask here before bothering the author of the pattern, but since it still doesn't match up, I'll ask her if there's an error or something. Thanks!
  4. Hello! I'm new to reading patterns and usually stick to free stuff, but I just bought my first one last night. The pattern's author uses parentheses in a couple spots, and I'm kind of confused. I definitely won't post the whole pattern since I purchased it, but there are two spots I'm confused about. The first bit looks like this: "Ch 1, 2sc in next, (sc in next, 2sc in next) 2 times..." I understand that I'm supposed to chain 1, and single crochet twice in the next stitch. After that, do I just repeat "(sc in next, 2sc in next)" twice, or do I also repeat "2sc in next"? I tried to do it like this: ch 1, 2sc in next, sc in next, 2sc in next, sc in next, 2sc in next, but it didn't turn out right. The second part I'm having trouble with is basically the same thing. "2 sc in next (sc in next, 2sc in next) 4 times", exactly which part am I doing 4 times? Just the stitches in the parentheses, or the "2sc in next" as well? Basically, I just need someone to write out exactly what I should do without the parentheses and the "twice" or "4 times". I really hope this question makes sense! Thanks in advance for any help!

Hello! I'm 24 years old and I live in Connecticut. I moved here from out of state and I didn't know anyone here aside from my boyfriend, so I decided to pick up my old crochet hook so I'd have something to do. I like it much more than I used to... it's super relaxing! I enjoy doing other things too, like reading, riding my bike, and playing video games. But I mostly like to crochet! Up until recently, I only made scarves, but I'm branching out now. I've made amigurumi, hats, and slippers all in the past few weeks and I have had a lot of fun with all of it. So, I guess that's it! :]
