  1. I am trying to figure this out also. I have most of my patterns saved digitally and use the Kindle app on my iPod Touch to read the patterns, but I would like a way to make notes to save with the file. Such as if I used more or less stitches or a different stitch all together. Does Evernote do that?? Or does anyone else have a better app to store, view and make notes on .pdf files?
  2. I am involved with an organization in Wisconsin called Real Men Wear Pink. Our mission is to promote Breast Cancer awareness, as well as organize events and raise funds to benefit a local breast cancer patient or survivor who demonstrates a financial need. Our main event is an annual softball tournament in July. Last year we raised $6500 for our beneficiary. 2012 will be our 4th year. Myself and another organizer learned to crochet last year and we love it. We would like to put together an afghan for our beneficiary this year. We are looking for crocheters to make one square to contribute. Please use acrylic medium weight yarn to make a 12" square. The most important requirement is PINK and anything you can do to make it unique or special. Attach your name (or Crochetville username) and city/state (or just state if you prefer). You can find our mailing address on the Contact Us page of our website: http://www.realmenwearpink-wi.org/ This is our Facebook page: http://www.facebook.com/RMWP.WI Thank you to anyone who chooses to take part. I will post pictures. Jennifer
  3. I wrote to her and I got my answer. I'm sharing it here for everyone. It is called an Eyelet Foundation and worked as described in a tutorial that she wrote: http://bellacrochet.blogspot.com/2010/04/how-to-make-crocheted-eyelet-foundation.html 10 days to get this project done. Yeah! Jennifer
  4. Thanks for the reply. I do have the loop, but I agree that it seems like there should be more spaces for all the stiches that comes after that. At first I did not see a way to contact the designer. I see now that the person who wrote the pattern is also the owner of the site, so I will try that way also. Still open to other ideas though... Jennifer
  5. Can anyone help? The is the first time since I started crocheting earlier this year that I have been this stumped. I need to finish it by the 18th. Jennifer
  6. I am using the swan part of this pattern only: http://www.bellacrochet.com/index.php?main_page=document_product_info&cPath=5&products_id=19 I am having problems with the body and working round 1. This is what it reads: With white (ch 3, dc in 3rd ch from hook) 6 times, ch 7, sl st in 7th ch from hook (Foundation of 7 ch-sps made); (sl st, ch 3, 3 dc) in second ch sp of Foundation, 4 dc in each of the next 4 ch sps, 11 dc in ch sp at end of Foundation (Front of Swan), 4 dc in each of next 5 ch sps, (dc, 11 tr, dc) in last ch sp (Tail end), join with sl st in top of ch-3 My problem is that I seem to have two separate sections. I understand up to the ch 7, but then the ch 7 portion seems out of place. It seems like it should be sl st into something because it just seems to hang off of the first section. Any ideas on this? I am trying to finish the swan by December 18th. The rest of it has been fine so far. Thanks for any help - Jennifer
