  1. Thanks for all the warm welcomes everybody! My coming here has already been well worth my while
  2. Dogcatmom, thank you so much!!! Wow, trying it again with your rewritten instruction helped me immensely! You are a savior, and I must need to purchase some new reading glasses, as I felt like I had been reading it correctly this entire time! Also, I think I need to try moving away from posting threads from my blackberry. That wee detail probably had a lot to do with my errors.. Hehehe
  3. So I started some lace gloves and I'm using a pattern from a book I bought. The pattern has a "legend" that describes the special stitches required to make the lace clusters. I immediately find myself stuck on the 4th row of the 'back' of these gloves. Ill do my best to follow forum policy, and I use the word best only because I feel like I have to describe a fair chunk of the instruction ( definitely not even cose to all of it..) It reads as follows: Row 4 (clkuster lace row): Ch 3 (counts as first dc), sk next sc, dc in next sc (counts as first cluster), *ch 2, sk next 2 sts, work 2-dc cluster across next 4 sts; rep from * across to last 2 stitches.. Now problem is that the instruction on doing the 2-dc cluster across 4 sts goes exactly as follows: Insert hook in same st as last dc worked, yo, draw yarn through st,yo,draw yarn through 2 loops on hook, sk next 2 sc, insert hook in next st, yo, draw yarn through st, yo, draw yarn through 2 loops on hook, yo, draw yarn through 3 loops on hook. There is no dc to insert as same st as last dc because it tells me to ch 2 and skip next 2 stitches. I'm soooo confused. Does anyone know this pattern (ladylike lace gloves from the stitch n bitch book on crochet)?? I'm still pretty new to crochet so I understand that I'm probably doing this wrong for a reaon. If anyone feels gracioyus enough, a video woukd make me so very happpppyyyyyyy. I hope this doesn't seem forthright in requesting
  4. Hey to all you happy hookers! Great to stumble across a place where one can express their love of a hobby craft, and learn more in turn. I'm excited about being a part of this online community, so feel free to ask me questions; I like making new friends. Oh and I don't only consider crochet a hobby craft. I like to think of it as an art as well. I'm looking forward to getting better, I've only really just started. And the one thing that I can't wait to achieve is learning how to build my own patterns. Original, wearable dresses is where I'd like to head. Or accessories... I'm a bit of a girl in that sense.
