  1. Love this afghan ! ! Where did you get the pattern for it ?

  3. That's great ! It's supposed to be a starfish
  4. One of the most popular patterns on Ravelry, and one of the cutest ! I'm not too happy with how the star turned out, it's a bit lopsided and I didn't do a great job (it was my first time) of stitching it on.

  6. Hi all ! I've finally finished a baby blanket for my girlfriend, and I've also made a matching star to embellish the blankie. I've never had to attach anything before, and don't have the foggiest idea of how to do it. Any help would be much appreciated ! (The star is just sitting on top of the blankie for the pic) Thanks !
  7. Thanks gals ! I'm glad it's finally done, i was getting kind of tired of it. lol. I don't think I'll make another one for myself, I'm still new at crocheting and I don't want to repeat any patterns. There are millions of patterns to choose from and I want to do them ALL before I start repeating them.
  8. Finally got this one finished, with lots of time left until Christmas. This is for my twin bother and his wife. It will match their living room perfecty.....kind of like how it matches mine perfectly ! I want to keeeeeep it !
  9. Wow, I absolutely LOVE this ! It's to pretty ! Is this one of your own patterns ?
  10. Oh that looks so cozy and warm.
  11. Heather, I just HAD to add that to my favorites on Ravelry.
  12. I'm working on two projects right now. The first one is an easy ripple afghan for my brother's christmas gift. http://www.ravelry.com/projects/MBakota/easy-ripple-afghan The second one is a baby blanket for my girlfriend who's due in January. THis is my second attempt at this pattern, and this time I'm actually using single crochet. It's a nice tight stitch, and it's going to be perfect for a winter baby. http://www.ravelry.com/projects/MBakota/tiramisu-baby-blanket-2
  13. Wow, that's stunning. I wish I could make something like that....maybe in time I'll be brave enough to try. Good work !
  14. I like to crochet in the morning before my husband wakes up. He tends to sleep until noon, and since he absolutely HATES it when he sees me crochet, I take advantage of this time. I also like to make smaller projects during my lunch hour at work.
  15. Hmmm, I've never thought much of hook colour. When I first taught myself to crochet last year, I bought a "Starter Kit" and a self teaching book. The starter kit had a range of 6 hooks, all of them different colours. I have one boring grey hook that I stole off of my mother. It's IMPOSSIBLE to find a size 4.00 hook in any of the stores that I've been in. My mom had a 4.00 from when she was growing up, so i had to steal it.
