A Few Things About Me

  • Occupation
    Bartender
  1. Love the fox! And you're only as old as you feel.
  2. I picked up the yarn and wandered over to the button section to see if anything matched. These ones were so far beyond perfect that it seemed like fate!
  3. I think I'm in <3 with this pattern. Made with schachenmayer "my first regia" sock yarn. Newborn size.
  4. Are you still looking for a tester for this? I'd be happy to help!
  5. I'll have to keep an eye out! I would love to test a new one.
  6. Very cute! Do you know if the pattern will be for sale?
  7. I made these following the pattern available on Moogly Blog. The first one (green/yellow) I made according to the pattern and is for my LO (due in Dec). Using 2 balls of each colour of Sirdar Snuggly it ended up roughly 22" square. The second one (purple/white) I made using trebles instead of doubles and I think I prefer it slightly more. I used 3 balls of each colour and it's roughly 22" x 33". This is for a friend of mine (due any day now!) but I LOVE the colours and may end up making another.
  8. Finished yesterday, very happy with this one. Definitely something I'll be making again. Pattern not mine but available on Ravelry here: http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/dragon-lovey
  9. Are you looking for it to be done with any specific yarn?
  10. Anything Nancy! I've got a few months yet to make what I like. Bubs is gonna be born in the winter so warm newborn things especially. Thanks Empress, I'll have a good look through.
  11. My partner and I are expecting our first baby at the end of the year so I'm, of course, going nuts with baby crochet patterns. We're not going to be finding out the sex of our baby so any links to unisex-type baby patterns would be greatly appreciated!
  12. Did you get this sorted, crochetjess? I'm working this up now and it seems to be going just fine. Up to row 20 too.
  13. For the people wondering about baby's safety during these pictures... All is not as it seems! The posed baby pictures (head in hands etc.) aren't taken as one picture. They're what are known as composite pictures. The babies will be held in that position, gently, several times with the supporting hands in differnt places. then the photos are put together to make one complete image. This link shows it fairly well: http://www.flickr.com/photos/heatherstockett/7167878375/in/pool-1782212@N23
  14. This was supposed to be a Christmas present! It got a little forgotten about once I realised that wasn't happening, but now it's done! very happy with it!
  15. This is a long shot but I thought you guys might be able to help... I have a cross stitch pattern that I'd love to turn into a Tunisian Crochet pattern. I only need small amounts of each colour so I thought I'd use Anchor Tapestry Wool to do it! Clever, eh? Only I'm discovering that the colour numbers for Anchor Floss don't match the numbers for Anchor Wool. Does anyone have a conversion chart for the two or know of an easy way to convert them? I also have the DMC numbers but the shop near me sells Anchor not DMC. Thanks in advance guys! Abigail
