  1. Just to let you know I made 1 square and weighed it. If I can keep making them all roughly the same weight--I can get about 25-28 squares out of each skein. That just sounds like too many, but we'll see. I guess I'm so used to making 6 inch squares that these cute little 4 inch squares have thrown me for a loop.
  2. I think I found something that will work. Triangle in rows and just don't make the tip. I'll just have to try & see =]
  3. I got an idea today for a project that would require making isosceles trapezoids and wondered if anyone had or knew of a pattern to make them. I have seen patterns for triangles but haven't looked into those to see if they could be tweaked to be made into what I'm looking for. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thank you!! P.S. I have tried google only to find how to KNIT parallelograms.... *sigh* Maybe someone else would have better luck.
  4. I am not following any particular pattern so it doesn't tell me how much of yarn A or yarn B I need. Project one-- I need to make 54-4" squares in one color & 54-4" squares in another color. Both yarn colors I want to use are 140g/5oz. and 355m/388 yrds, each skein. Project two-- I need to make 30-6" squares in one color AND have enough yarn for a 2" border. Yarn is 170g/6oz. and 289m/316 yrds, each skein. So... my question is, how many skeins is enough yarn for each project? I will be doing grannies in all dc with project one. My dc's are half inch long. With project two I will use dc & may use hdc puff stitches to add a bit of texture. Any help would be appreciated. If I need to add any more info, to help figure it out, please let me know.
  5. No I am not against the fees... I've just had some bad experience with Paypal.
  6. I guess if paypal is the main payment option I'd have to use it. I don't blame anyone for not wanting to give out cc info. Too many scams/scammers out there. That's what I thought Ravelry did. Thank you Amy. =)
  7. Thank you for the info Amy. VERY much appreciated. I don't mind having rules & regulations in order to sell items/products but why do they have to make it so complicated to understand (legal jargon). This is what I mean: http://law.justia.com/cfr/title16/16-
  8. Ok thank you all. But one question still... On Ravelry, is it only for selling patterns? That's all I've seen so I'm not sure.
  9. I'm looking to start selling items in the near future. I am a member of ravelry AND etsy. I didn't know you could sell things on ravelry, but it looks like it's only for selling patterns? That's why I have etsy. I would like some input please on what fellow crafters think. I noticed on etsy, they have a paypal option. I do not like paypal at all. Can you use anything else? If so, what preference do you have? I really don't care for the pay by check/money order options--because of the possibility of scams. Any & all info and input is greatly appreciated.
  10. cat3crazy, I'm originally from West Michigan--not too far from Grand Rapids.
  11. @Imanurse55--I'm in Burlington Co. near Medford =) Thank you for the warm welcome every1
  12. Thank you magiccrochetfan I'll put that on my b'day wish list to hubby or my mom.
  13. Does anyone know the stitches used in making the 'hearts' seen here? I am not looking for the entire pattern, only the stitches used to make the hearts. The best photo to see the hearts is the 2nd one down on the right side of the main photo. If I'm over-stepping the bounds I apologize. http://www.etsy.com/listing/57115832/yellow-frilly-afghan-blanket?ref=sr_gallery_1&ga_search_query=frilly+yellow+baby+afghan&ga_search_type=handmade&ga_facet=handmade
  14. The chick from the first picture is like the chicks she made. Below is more like the egg she made: http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_Zc1nERWrJiA/Sconx8TkqyI/AAAAAAAAAHc/8uliDEJYsh8/S760/robert+easter+2008+086.JPG
