  1. Be careful how you say this, if you don't want the Copyright Police knocking on your door...this is the pattern that Annie's Attic used on their site a few days ago, but it's not a copy from their site. And it is a very cutesie pattern.
  2. I love messenger bags. They are so easy to make and design to the receiver's style. Nice job with this one.
  3. Oooo...Color Me is now added to my Christmas Afghan list!
  4. It also depends on where you are going. I had no troubles getting kiddie-blunt scissors on an airplane in Boston, flying to London. It's permitted on US outgoing flights. BUT - coming home from London, they aren't allowed on UK outgoing flights.
  5. Books are shelved. I do the three-ring binder and page protector thing. When my binder gets full 100s of pages later, I separate the pattens into topic (clothes, afghans, amigurumi, etc.) and use the binding machine at work to bind them all together. Then I have my own lil pattern books.
  6. <LOL> True...but I think I'd do better with less happy-lovey-encouragement and more "Get your fingers off that unopened skein of RH, you impulsive girl!"
  7. I think I have a problem. Every time I see something interesting that I want to crochet, I start on it. I work on it until the next new and exciting thing comes around, then I begin that. I think I have a dozen WIPs right now - all larger scale projects. I think part of my issue is that I have so much Red Heart and Homespun around, that I think to myself, "I have the yarn. Might as well give it a go!" I don't seem to have the self-control to say "Wait until your Cathedral Rose afghan you started 6 months ago is done, then start the queen-size granny square afghan." I've also had to balance creating stock for my sales (which are small items I can pop out in a few hours) to working on long-term projects. I think to myself "I have 7 months to make 8 afghans for Christmas. That's plenty of time! I can start making that Care Bear from the pattern book I just got." But in reality, I don't think it is enough time. I'm on UFO overload.
  8. Now this is probably one of the most impressive things I've ever seen on this site. Classic, good colors, and well thought out. <high 5>
  9. I'm making CrochetMe's "Baby It's Cold Outside" baby sweater, and I can't figure out what I'm doing wrong. http://crochetme.com/node/110/print I'm on Row 23-ish. I've done the three sets of 22 sts (up one arm), and them I created the ch12 (which is what I would guess to be the beginning of the head-hole). Row 23: hdc accross. Ch12. turn Row 24: hdc into 3 rd ch. hdc accross. Ch2, turn I hdc back down the chain? Then I just get this un-attached strip of hdc in the middle of the sweater, and go back to stitching the arms? Or does 3 rd ch mean hdc into the opposite arm? That makes more sense to me.....hdc's, then chain for head hole, then more hdc's.....
  10. On the corner of my couch in the living room. Next to me, I have my yarn and needles, and have the tv in front of me, usually tuned into FoodTV or MSNBC. My dog plopps her head on the yarn ball.
  11. I love weekends where you can just sit in front of a tv and get a whole project done.
  12. I tried to google it, to see if any "warning" pages come up, but the only thing I see when I enter it is a downloadable software thingie.... I think the girls are right. Better not trust this one.
