  3. We've again gone from raining--over 5" this week--to cold. No sun yet, hopefully tomorrow and a couple more days before it's warmer and raining again. I have to put on boots to do anything in the yard. Ready for everything to dry out! I finished the second baby blanket for the shower Saturday. Hats are my nemesis! I started making the baby size of a multi-size pattern. Using fine #2 yarn instead of the dk the pattern called for. F hook like the pattern said. Somehow it ended up with a circumference of between toddler and child. How is than even possible??!! Ripped it out. Found a pattern I think I've used before--I'll try it if I have time tonight or tomorrow. Still waiting on the house insurance. Got them the last of the info they wanted last night and they say they're working on it. AFLAC messed up another claim, so I've got to get everything together to mail in an appeal. Not sure what their problem is--this is two out of the last three. There are a dozen things I need to be working on but I just can't seem to get motivated. I may have the grands for a while this evening so I'm telling myself I'm conserving my energy for that. Yeah, right! Just got back to the computer and found I hadn't posted this. Hope everyone has a good evening.
  4. Thanks for sharing the tip! It's so simple it makes you say--why didn't I think of that.
  5. Pretty! The spike stitch has been on my to-do list for a while.
  6. Hello from Mississippi! Hope the adoption comes thru soon.
  7. Pretty! You did a great job of blending the different colors.
  8. Cute dress. I love how you make shoes to go with the outfit. If it was me there would probably be a lot of barefooted babies. LOL

  10. I'll tell the man in the moon hello for y'all. LOL I finished the baby blanket except for weaving in the ends and used up another skein...+2.
  11. I hope I'll have some crochet time this afternoon, but I don't expect to use up any yarn. WTD -25 I was closer to being through with a skein of baby yarn than I realized...+2 WTD -23
  12. Hello from Mississippi!
  13. I guess what would have come to mind for me would be embroidering it at the top of the stocking. But it would be a lot smaller and maybe difficult with the longer name.
  14. Just wanted to say "Hello" to everyone! The bookmark is very pretty, NeutralGround! No apts this week, but still a busy one. Temps up and down, rain here, gone, and headed back. Typical winter in Mississippi. The check is in the mail for one insurance claim and still getting estimates for the other. I've been able to get some crocheting in. Should finish the baby blanket this weekend that I need for a shower next weekend. Hope everyone has a good weekend!
  15. Denise, I have so much yarn, it was nice to have what you needed. I've been mostly keeping up with the thread, just seems like the merry go round never slows down here. Someone mentioned operation gratitude recently and I looked it up. I have some vannas choice yarn that I bought on clearance several years ago and haven't used much of, in particular some black. Don't know what I thought I would do with that much black. So I've started making some scarves. They're nice travel projects for DH's Dr apts.
