  1. It's wonderful Lilly! Like the arms of comfort while reading a prayer book or the Bible, or just when you need those extra comforting thoughts. And by the way. Even though you had no one in mind when you made it, I'm sure that Hedid. No prayers are unanswered. I have to ask. Are you called "MooMoo" by your grandchildren? My dil's mother goes by "moomoo".

    Hexagon WIP

I LOVE doing hexagons! Aren't they great for scraps? Beautiful!
  6. I had to sit and work a swatch and write down this thing. I've never really thought about it. So, I hope you can follow this: With any yarn, any hook, and you can make it any size, just keep going till you get your desired length. Ch 3, 2 dc in 3rd ch from hook, ch 2, 3 dc in same ch. Ch 2 turn. 2 dc in first dc, ch 2. 3 dc in ch 2 sp, ch 2, 3 dc in same sp(this will become the point), ch 2, 3 dc in top of ch 2. Ch 2 turn. 2 dc in first dc, ch 2, 3 dc in ch 2 sp, ch 2, 3 dc in next ch 2 sp, ch 2, 3 dc in same sp, ch 2, 3 dc in next ch 2 sp, ch 2, 3 dc in last ch 2. Just keep continuing this pattern until you get the shawl as long as you want it. I usually go around after with a basic scallop, then add fringe. You can do so many different things with this pattern, it's up to you! Have fun and enjoy and I'm glad that I can share my work with everyone. That one I made is a really light lavender and I wear it with a long black dress that has large flowers on it. It's really pretty.
  7. This is a quick and easy shawl. It can be made with all types of yarn, thread, you name it depending on what you want it for. Hook size is also not important. You just keep on adding. I've made this for kids and adults. It doesn't take long at all.
  8. I made this table cloth for my ex-mil for her dining table. Each square was done individually. The swan pattern was taken from a drawing that I found in my Momma's drawings (after she passed away and my brother sent them to me) and the flower is a very basic flower. It was done with size 10 thread and a size 7 steel hook. It took me 3 months to make. I consider this one of my best achievements that I've done. I was glad to put something of my mother's into use.
  9. Hi y'all! Your right, that's not how we talk in CA, but consider myself a lost from the the south... TN that is. I'm an avid crocheter. I love to do filet, doilies, all the little stuff, baby stuff, well, basically anything. I decided to go back to school last year, so this Nana of 18, yes, 18, hasn't had much time for crocheting. I will post some of the things that I have done. Anything else you want to know, feel free to ask.
