  1. I saw a great crocheted beaded bracelet demonstrated on the Knit and Crochet Now TV show that is available on their website. I downloaded the pattern, but haven't had the chance to try it yet. It looks super easy and beautiful. It is from Episode #3. The website is knitandcrochetnow.com. Happy hooking.
  2. Thanks for the info. on the price increase, I was going to join after the 1st anyway. I would still love to hear from anyone that has gone through the program, though.
  3. I did have the same thought, I would probably want to wait until after the first of the year. Otherwise the rush to finish all the gifts before the holidays would probably interfere. I think the idea of doing it as a group would be great. Have to review the rules again, though I don't recall any against it. Hopefully, we'll get some feedback from some one who has completed the program. Keep in touch.
  4. Has anyone completed the CGOA Masters of Crochet Program. I read about it in the May 25th Talking Crochet newsletter and was very intrigued. I would put my self now in the intermediate category, but find it very easy to learn new stitches and techniques and would like to improve. I also thought completion of this would be helpful if I wanted to sign up to teach crochet classes in community arts programs or the women's shelter. I would love to hear from anyone who has completed or attempted this program. Happy Independence Day!
  5. My grandma Cain taught me when I was a kid. She loved to make granny square afghans, but could do anything from the finest thread crochet doily. Hadn't touched a hook in about ten years, but picked it up again last year and I can't get enough. I've also been making afghans, but am going to be brave and try a sweater soon. Thanks grandma. Looking forward to picking everyone's brains when I run into trouble.
