  2. Here is my thread crocheted Easter Basket. It is just big enough for one special egg. Make a buch of em in dif colors and hang on branches... This is my first original pattern, but I will post it if anyone is interested.
  3. Finally finished it! If you sell something like this on Etsy what would you charge for it? This took me 2 weeks to complete!
  4. I am a relatively new crocheter, most I learned from my Mom or on YouTube. Early on I only wanted to crochet flowers. Mostly because I could finish one in a short time giving me a sense of accomplishment. As time when on I began doing more complicated patterns and even created my own designs. I am also a poet. I write regular poetry but mostly write poems custom ordered for Special Occasions. Anyway recently I began combining the two. While I crochet I have a pad of paper handy to write down some of my random thoughts for a poem I am working on. It's kinda similar to the prayer shawls I've read about. That lead me to wonder what everyone else thinks about while they are crocheting. So tell me what do you think about? Is it sc 1 dc 2 etc or is there anything else going on there?
  5. I recently opened a shop on Zibbet. I know there is Etsy and Artfire as well. Does anyone know if there are other places to open a shop that is reasonable?
  6. I just created an IPAD for Halloween as part of a costume or maybe your kids have been bugging you for an IPad for Christmas?... I had my hubby model it, what do you think?

  8. I created this gold watch for a friend who is retiring as a gag gift.
  9. I created this pattern to hold your silverware and paper napkin. It's kinda like a napkin ring but made to hold your silverware wrapped in a paper napkin. I got the idea because I hate using my cloth napkins because they are too hard to get the stains out (especially spagetti). The holder gives it the dressy eye appeal of the cloth napkins and yet still have disposible napkins. What ya think?? The first one is shown before the silverware is rolled in a paper napkin. The second one shows finished product. The little rosette that holds it together does open up too.
  10. I have been trying to crochet flowers with wire...I did a Spider plant and a trio of flowers. See below.
  11. I just found out mine is gonna be a nephew, also due in late Aug!!
  12. Here is a pattrn for adults>>>http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/high-top-slipper-socks Try it, you just might surprise yourself!
  13. YES!!! Where did you find it? I looked there but did not find it...Thanks for finding it for me!
  14. I got the pattern for this online, but not cannot find it again. All it is is a granny square and some crocheted flowers. It was fun and easy...
  15. I am gonna be a Great Aunt soon! My Nephew is expecting in August and they call it Sweet Pea. I crocheted the Pea Pod for Sweet Pea but it is not intended for use as a blanket, rather as a prop for new born pictures. The pattern is here>>>http://www.craftsy.com/pattern/crocheting/accessory/crochet-sweet-pea-hat-and-cocoon-set/39125 The circle baby blanket is from a pattern I found online but the edging is my creation. (http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/spiral-baby-blanket-3) I did the blanket in white to show purity and love surrounding the baby. The green edge is supposed to look like leaves, it also has meaning. The green symbolizes ‘Army Green’ enlisting your family in the Army of God. So Sweet Pea is covered in fatigues for God…It is crocheted in threes to reflect the Trinity of God and the joining of man, woman and child for His family. I named the blanket ‘Three in One’. (3 dc, ch3, 3 dc, ch 3 around) One other note, I used the yarn I got from Rainbow Grandma’s stash of yarn for the baby blanket. (Great Rainbow Grandma passed in 2010)
  16. I crocheted these for my soon to be great nephew or neice. I chose green because they call the baby Sweet Pea until it is born. They are done in thread and I found the pattern FREE on Ravelry>>>http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/infant-crochet-converse-shoes I think they turned out well considering I have such a hard time following a pattern!!
  17. Offer her the pattern to crochet her very own!
  18. My dog also knows her boundries, but at times she wants my attention will do the same thing. She has her own rug she loves & plays with but if she is lacking attention from me will get into the lundry bin and chew underwear. uck! But it tells me she needs some Mom time! Don't blame her or punish her...she is acting out just like any other child who wants attention....It WILL be ok!! I hope the lapgan is salvagable!!

    Edgerydoo?

Does anyone have any experience using the edgerdoo with leather? I want to make a leather case for my Jimbo hooks...I think a leather one would protect the wooden hooks better than a cloth one.
  20. As a Thready myself, Your work makes mine look like a childs painting in compairison to Vincent van Gogh or Pierre Renior....
  21. Dang girl you are GOOD!!! Those are gorgeous.............What do you do with such works of art?
  22. That is BEAUtiful! Think I'll make a doily my next project after I finish the baby afgan I promised my sis for her 1st grandbaby... Thread crochet is so much easier for me. The yard and larger hook used for the afgan are making my fingers hurt!!! Do you have a link for the pattern?
  23. Guess I am getting old because when I try to follow a pattern even if I check off each row I still get lost. So to clarify my hint, I only write on dry erase the row I am working on. Then it doesn't seem so daunting. Like my Mom a whole page is too overwhelming but small bits at a time is so much easier. That's why she loved her Rainbow Bible so much. She could focus on just the colored scripture she was reading.
