  1. I have been asked to recreate an afghan I made several years ago for my daughter, but I cannot find my pattern book. Does anyone have the Cozy Star Stitch Afghan Pattern from Leisure Arts A Year of Q Hook Afghans? I'm going crazy. Really just need to know how many stitches for the base row and details like that. Here's a picture: You'll have to click through since I couldn't insert a picture.
  2. I'm giving away a copy of the "Beyond the Square Crochet Motifs" on my personal blog, Shawnee's Tangled Tales. Stop by and enter!! PS -- I see that lots of you are visiting my blog. Be sure to comment to enter! It's a really nice book, brand new from the publisher.
  3. If you also enjoy sewing, you're invited to join the 10th round of my Flirty Apron Swap. Our theme this round is "Cupcakes & Cherries & M.E., Oh My!" (with M.E. standing for Mary Engelbreit). Visit my swap blog HERE for details.
  4. You put a lot of love in that one.
  5. What beautiful crochet work! I love your package!!
  6. That is the most beautiful afghan I've seen in a long time. WOW!!
  7. Hi friends. I know that a lot of crocheters also love to sew and/or cook, so thought you might be interested in my new Flirty Apron and Accessory Swap. Deadline to sign up is March 2 and packages are to be mailed by March 31. I hope you'll join us!!
  8. I took a suggestion from the Rosy Cosy tea cozy pattern and made it into a baby hat. When I was finished, I realized it was a bit too big. No problem! I felted it!! The deep red was not a feltable yarn, but that made it even better since I could easily weave in the ribbon for a custom fit. I LOVE how this turned out!! What do you think? My favorite project so far in 2008!!
  9. I absolutely love the way this turned out. Bravo!!
  10. I tried to look at the pictures but they are marked "private".
  11. That is just a beautiful bag. Most impressive!!
  12. I'm so glad you like everything! I was so worried. Be sure to play with the rooster's face .. he looks like he got a little smooshied in the box, and his eye ended up under his beak! LOL!!! And, I too LOVE the smell of the apple candles. Hope this box fits into your apple/rooster kitchen. This was a super-fun swap! Shawnee
  13. Here are the promised pictures of the package that Tina sent me. Isn't this Rosy Cosy ADORABLE?!?! Here's the rest of the goodies --- it just goes on forever. I love the sweet coasters and trivet/potholder she sent. I have lots of teas to try. Thanks again, Tina. Your box is on its way ... hopefully you'll receive it by tomorrow.
