    Virus Afghan

Hi .. does anyone know of a crochet pattern for a virus afghan? I found a 5 sided pattern but like the looks of 4 corners better. Thanks. Janice

    Virus Afghan

Thank you, Reni C. I'll just have to sit down & write down the pattern as she's crocheting the afghan. Thank you. Janice

    Virus Afghan

Thank you, Granny Square. The pattern by Jonna Martinez is the closest to what I'm looking for. I haven't decided if I want to pay $4.50 for the printed pattern. Thanks for your help. Janice

    Spiral Doily

https://pin.it/wcsusam7dt54gt Hi .. would the “t” symbol with the line through the vertical post be a treble crochet? Any help or hints would appreciated. Thanks. Janice

Hi & thanks Granny Square. I printed out the chart. So, in this case it would be a treble crochet since it looks to be a UK pattern. Is that correct? Thanks. Janice

    Childs Hat

Hi .. I'm looking for this hat for a child. I've searched the net but so far haven't had any luck. Have any of you seen anything like this? I saw a similar one on Ravelry but it had cables. For a boy, I didn't think it would look quite right. Thanks.. Janice

    Childs Hat

Hi .. thanks for the addn'l help with the t-bag hat pattern. I plan on making that one next. I'm almost finished with the Pretty in Pink hat pattern that Empress Busy Bee suggested. I'll post a picture in a couple of days to show you. The pattern that I was originally looking for has a ribbed design. I know the picture was poor. It was similar to this one: http://www.redheart.com/free-patterns/easy-fit-ribbed-pompom-hat The ribs are a bit farther apart on the one I'm looking for & it has the point type ears at the top. Here is a picture of a different pattern I used for my granddaughter. It was fun to make.

ReniC -- I like this pattern. Would you just chain more for a larger hat? Janice

    Old Crochetville Post

Hello .. I printed out a pattern on August 27, 2011 for a pattern "Elegance" that was on Crochetville. I pulled out the pattern today to start the afghan. The copy is very blurry. Does the forum go back that far where I might try to print out a better copy? Thank you. Janice
  12. Hi .. does anyone know the name of this pattern or a source where I could buy it? Thank you! Janice

    "Fan" shaped afghan Pattern

The copy of the pattern that I have of the "elegance" I copied (printed off from the site) originally from Crochetville in August of 2011. Last night I sat down to read through it & I can't make it out. The print is small plus the printer paper must have moved or something because it's really blurry. The 3's & the 5's look alike. I can't tell if it's chain 3 or 5 then turn or how many chains to start with (13 or 15). Anyway, I think I'll try to find a better copy before I start. I want to do it right. Janice

    "Fan" shaped afghan Pattern

Empress Busy Bee .. you are so right. I have been given a couple of good options. When magiccrochetfan mentioned that the pattern had been in a free Caron leaflet, I decided to go through my patterns. I have lots of those free leaflets. I looked through my patterns today. I couldn't believe it when I found that pattern. Usually, I have everything but the one I want. This pattern is made in strips (ick). I guess I'll have to give it a shot. THANKS everyone. Janice

    "Fan" shaped afghan Pattern

Thanks everyone .. The yarn is 3 ply. I made a mistake on the ply. This is a link to the afghan on e-bay .. if this will make a difference .. or not. https://www.ebay.com/itm/Wonder-Art-Full-Size-45x65-Elegance-Afghan-Crochet-Kit-Brown/382308741934?hash=item590360732e:g:WIkAAOSw9hdaMChG

    "Fan" shaped afghan Pattern

Hi again .. thanks for everyone trying to help. The partial kit I have is from Wonder Art. I have the box & 2 ply yarn but no pattern. The entire kit is for sale on e-bay but hate to spend money for entire kit. Hoping I can find a pattern that’s close. I’m not one that likes to work with afghan’s in strips either. Thanks. Janice
  17. Wow .. thank you. Janice
  18. Hi .. wondering if you can view forum discussions farther back than one year? Thanks. Janice
  19. I'm making a block afghan that has 7 x 7 blocks. I'd like to use the flat braid joining method. I understand Priscilla's directions for the first 4 blocks that you join. But, where do you go from there. Do you keep adding at the top of the first four until you have the height of 7 blocks? Then, would you turn & work along one of the sides? Maybe you would finish the bottom until you have the 7 block length? Seems like there was a discussion on this before but I couldn't find it when I searched. As usual, maybe I'm making it to difficult. Thanks. Janice
  20. Hi .. wondering if anyone would know of a substitution for this yarn. I know it originally came in 1 3/4 oz. balls. Thanks. Janice

Magiccrochetfan .. I found one type of yarn that was very close in gauge. It was Loops and Thread yarn. Thanks. Janice

Brunswick "Wilo O'Wisp" Bulky Baby Yarn

Hi .. I'd like to make a baby blanket from Family Circle .. November 1983. It has the Best-Selling crafts from the top 12 yarn companies in it. The one I'd like to try is called, "Brunswick's Crocheted Bunny Baby Blanket. You use a afghan crochet hook, size H. The gauge is: 5 afghan stitches =1", 4 rows = 1". Thanks. Janice
  23. Hi .. On row 16 (start of cable section) the row reads as follows: Ch 1, sc in each of next 2 sts, *working around sts of row 13, sk next 4 sc, fpdc around each of next 2 sc of row 13 (5th and 6th sc sts), working in front of fpdc just made, fpdc around each of 2 sk sc of row 13 (3rd and 4th sc sts)**, sc in each of next 4 sc of row 15, rep from * across, ending last rep at **, sc in each of next 2sc, turn. (28 fpdc,28sc) I've gotten to the point where I sc in each of the next 4 sc of row 15 & then start at the * again. What 4 stitches do I skip in row 13?? The ones below the 4 sc I just made or do I go over 8. I'm confused.. What am I missing? I don't think there should be any stitches below the 4 sc on row 16. But, If I skip another 4, it's such a huge stretch with the yarn. Hope someone can help me. Thanks. Janice
  24. Magiccrochetfan: Oh, that helps so much. You explained it so well. I'm ready to give it a go again. Thanks much!! Janice I might be back for help if it doesn't go well. :-(
  25. Thank you Magiccrochetfan .. but I understood that part of the pattern & have that done. It's where its states "sc in each of next 4 sc of row 15". Where do I put the next 4 stitches of cable? Thanks. Janice
